Poster 2: “X” (2022) Did we put our show on three weeknights because we knew the drag queens, strippers, and DJs would be off work? Who’s to say? 👀 “The Feminine Urge” by @calebduckies directed by @_hallie_rae October 26, 27, and 28 at 9:30 pm @thetanknyc You know those tickets are at the link in our bio! by @feminineurgeplay
Introducing our KILLER CORE CAST!! Meet Tia Anthony, Scott Bausemer, Ry Albinus, Steve Carrieri, and Keille Smith, the actors behind the central characters of our story. Swipe to learn more about each of them and get excited because we open in just 11 days!! “The Feminine Urge” by @calebduckies directed by @_hallie_rae The Tank @thetanknyc October 26 - 28 9:30 pm Tickets in bio! THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!! 🩸 Tia Anthony (Carson) is feeling electric to bring a beautifully complex trans woman to life in The Feminine Urge. Off-Broadway: Street Theatre (Ceil), Here I Am (Jo). Regional: Something Rotten! (Robin), Elf (Ensemble), and the world premiere of #SLACabaret: Down the Rabbit Hole (Holly Wood). She is also featured in Amazon Prime Video’s The College Tour. At a time when trans existence is increasingly politicized and our humanity reduced to debate, the creation of unapologetically trans art is an act of resistance and a declaration of permanence. Our stories deserve the freedom to exist beyond the confines of respectability. For the dolls we’ve lost and those still here, our stories will not be silenced. Heel clacks to playwright Caleb Dukes and the extraordinary artists behind The Feminine Urge! Immense gratitude to the universe for aligning her with stellar souls who have nurtured her evolution. Tia is an off-the-grid baddie, but you can catch her behind the decks with her trans DJ collective, @hausofligirlz, or simply trust that fate will arrange an encounter ;) Peace, Love, & Stars. Scott Bausemer (Scotty, coincidence) is an actor, photographer, and writer from Massachusetts. After a brief hiatus from theatre to study filmmaking, he returned to his original passion in New York studying under Tommy Buck at T. Schreiber Studios. He’s starred in a number of short films over the past year, from Wilcox AZ to Ann Arbor Michigan and just came off a nine show run at the Theatre For the New City. He is more than thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and crew. Ry Albinus (Jackie) is an NYC based actor, singer, and musician. She is SUPER excited to be a part of this production with so many talented individuals! Some of Ry’s favorite credits include: E by @feminineurgeplay
