$“More than enough for a down payment on a house.” 🤯 A few weeks ago we switched insurance providers. Part of the process was to list every piece of equipment we own, serial numbers and all. Tedious. But the total surprised me. That number is what it costs to do what we do. Cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, and grip. Plus all of the supporting pieces and parts you need. Everything. And that’s just the gear. It doesn’t include the years learning to use it, the maintenance, the upgrades, the hard drives to back up media or the insurance to protect all of it. So when a company weighs “should we build this in-house or hire it out?” This is the part that doesn’t show up on the first spreadsheet. Hiring us means you get all of it but for a fraction of what it’d cost to own. You focus on your business. We’ll help you with the media. by @fifthwall.studio$

Is there anything better as a video team than shooting the most dynamic unique environment?

Shooting powder coating brought an incredible opportunity to focus on color, environment and movement.

Boy we love great lighting 😌 by @fifthwall.studio

The goal was to dial in the retro garage feel. Combined with a classic Bronco and some great lighting — clean commercial look with a space that compliments it. by @fifthwall.studio

Some of my favorite work happens when a client trusts you to tell their real story. @vyperchair gave me the room to capture their culture, their craft, and the new space they’re stepping into — and now I get to share a few frames from it. by @fifthwall.studio

$The in front of the camera work is only a fraction of the job! 🎬 At Fifth Wall, we help develop the idea, write the script, scout the locations, work along side you on set to get the best performance, and then edit our butts off! #filmdirecting #digitalmarketing #appleton #videoproductioncompany by @fifthwall.studio$

First screening. First audience. First time hearing 400 strangers laugh and cheer at something that once existed only in your head.

This past weekend in Los Angeles, we screened Japanese Dream at the Sam Newton Film Festival. Sitting in that room alongside Daniel Tremsky and Tessa, hearing real reactions in real time, was surreal in a way that’s hard to put into words.

The films existence relied so deeply on long FaceTimes before the trip, long high stress moment filming to get every shot we needed and hours of editing and color production wrapped. It was worth every moment of effort.

What does a solid plan and good execution get you? Results!

These frames from Japan were all planned and scouted in advance. We put them in Milanote, visited them and used a light tracking app to get great results.

Planning makes perfect! 🎥 by @fifthwall.studio

LAST October I spent 30 days in Japan with a small team, DPing a short film. Check out a few raw photos from the trip. Link to the video will be up soon. by @fifthwall.studio

2025’s wrap up means we’ve been in business for one year!🍾🎉

What a year it has been!

Took 3 international trips. Two for business, one for a short film. (Coming out soon.)

We’ve been lucky enough to work remotely, but have helped tons of our amazing clients in Northeast Wisconsin. There’s truly nothing better than to watch our clients grow and expand their own businesses.

Oh and Sam and Tessa got engaged, have to put that in there too 🙂 by @fifthwall.studio

16 Posts in 1 Day—now that’s efficient! But what does it take? Lots of planning, a way to track progress, content and a schedule to post it all!

I get asked a lot about what camera I use, here’s the truth…
Each camera I own is great at different things.

The FX3: a low light, fast auto focus camera with smaller files and a quicker workflow.
The Komodo: exceptional image quality, tons of dynamic range and exceptional color.

When I’m filming a planned, scripted commercial—I prefer to stick to my Komodo because it’s easy to set up and operating when you’ve got planned shots.

The FX3 is perfect for 99% of client work that ends up on social media—the auto focus is fast, the low light performance is incredible and the file sizes are small (compared to the Komodo) which makes them easier to work with.

At the end of the day, each camera delivers exceptional quality and stunning results! by @fifthwall.studio

Mounted the camera to his gym equipment 🎥🏋🏼‍♂️

@kodyakadakotah_13 pushed himself hard for this shoot, crushing his lift while we were crushing the shots 👊🏻
