What an honor to share the mats with strong positive people. 🤜🏽🤛🏽 @graciegymoc by @fightingholejj

Great training today, grateful to be able to share the mats with y’all. Life will always have its curveballs, full of ups and downs, Find a Way. Special thank you to professor Magno @graciegymoc for your continued support and guidance. by @fightingholejj

Some hard training yesterday for these fine folks, but they hung in there and sharpened their swords.

I know a lot of LEO’s pride themselves on mindset, but if you don’t possesses the skills and ability to get yourself out of bad situations… well you’re just someone else tying up the radio. Hard truth.

I hope you get ready for the moment, because it’s out there, and one day you two are going to meet.

Be safe and take care of each other. Big thank you to @graciegymoc and @snoiuffleupagus for your time and detailed attention. Semper Fi by @fightingholejj

Many thanks for letting me contribute to such a great cause. My goal was to integrate Krav Maga’s weapons defense approach, @c4cpjj defensive tactics approach and @magnoalmeidax Jiu Jitsu into a wonderful blend of awesomeness for our veterans and law enforcement in attendance today. Grateful for everyone on the mat and thank you all for your service to the community and the country. Looking forward to the next one!

It’s been a 17 year journey to wear Faixa Preta for me. This journey has been full of its ups and downs. But my beautiful mother has never raised a quitter.

I give JiuJitsu my everything, and it has given me back the same. It has made me a better man, father, student, teacher, boyfriend (when appropriate), confidante and mentor.

I started FHJJ for many reasons. Champion among them is I’ve seen JiuJitsu save lives! And I’m no better. The optics I see JiuJitsu through is that of a tool. Regardless of your trade, you need tools to do your job. Our job as professionals is to learn how to use them with precision, efficiency, and in a manner which causes the least amount of harm. JiuJitsu is that to me. I’ve done my best to heal my friends, to help them see what I see in them. As my mentors, teachers, and partners have done for me over the last 17 years. I stand here humbled, and with a grateful heart.

I’d like to thank all my training partners over the years, you all had a hand in giving me a chance to turn my belt black, 🙏🏽 from the bottom of my heart thank you.

To my mates @franklos27, @captain_pz and Jacinto for first getting me on the mats. Taking me down a path that I walked purely on faith, I had no idea what awaited me… you changed my life.

To some of the most humble humans I have ever met, thank you for your drive, detailed care, and most importantly Love. My professors @riganmachado, @panzajiujitsu, @electricjiujitsu @assis2g , @beneildariush.

A special thank you to my professor Magno Almeida @graciegymoc , you have walked with me shoulder to shoulder as I attempted to climb peaks and have lifted up from dark valleys. Your loyalty and belief in Gods plan is unmatched. I thank you. 🤜🏽🤛🏽 by @fightingholejj

Saturday July 27th, @graciegymoc 1100 hours for veteran and first responders training day. After training, Bolsa Chica beach for summer BBQ and bonfire. Fighting Hole JiuJitsu will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs for the family. See you on the mats and in the water! 🏄🏽‍♂️ 🥋 by @fightingholejj

June is PTSD awareness month.

What I hope that means to you is if you have been wanting to reach out to that friend or group of people, but you have been to busy… you reach out.

You find time to make that phone call, or go sit and break bread together. You tell them what they mean to you, or tell them what has been bothering you. You reconnect, you strengthen, you fellowship.

It has truly been my life’s honor to get those phone calls at random times, sometimes from strangers who got my phone number from a friend. Not to judge, but to listen. To trust me at a time when they are at their most vulnerable.

I am no one special, but at those times I know I am part of something special. We here at FHJJ will fight the good fight with you.

Thank you @graciegymoc for welcoming us. For those that have never trained us, I feel such pride when our guest tell me how impressed they are by everyone. The environment, love, respect and admiration for being genuine people. I am truly grateful. Find a Way 💪🏾 by @fightingholejj
