I'm devastated. Jeremiah was involved in every project I did in one way or another. But more than that, he was my friend. The world is a little darker without you, my friend. 💔 by @filmmomoftwins

Devastated by the news of my friend Jeremiah Kipp’s death. The outpouring of shock and genuine love for Jeremiah is testament to his passion, charisma and generosity of spirit. He was one of a kind. I first met him in the late nineties as a member of a small collective of New York filmmakers and scriptwriters called the Sunday Club. Jeremiah’s commitment to cinema was immediately evident. There was no other direction for him so it was no surprise that he went on to make a life as a beloved director, collaborator and champion of his filmmaking friends and peers. Jeremiah had very strong opinions about what he loved and hated but one of the many things I loved about him was that he would always argue his point with a big smile on his face. It’s a cliche - one he would have absolutely hated (I can imagine him laughing with disgust) - but he was a teddy bear. I hadn’t seen Jeremiah since 2022, a dinner party with dear mutual friends Michael Bassman and fellow Sunday Clubber, Kim Cummings. But I had continued to enjoy his many FB posts. More often than not they were to congratulate an actor or fellow filmmaker he knew. Jeremiah was such a positive force. It’s heartbreaking to learn that he took his own life. A reminder to reach out to friends and check in with them. Jeremiah, you are already terribly missed by so many of us 💔 @jeremiah.kipp @filmmomoftwins @michaelbassman @briandilg #jeremiahkipp by @filmmomoftwins
