Need a confidence boost on your calls to your financial institution? Or need help articulating your needs to them?

I GOTCHU! Let me be your ✨financial advocate✨. (Does anyone else hear Enrique Iglesias’s “Hero” when I say that….? Just me….?)

What’s a financial advocate?? As your advocate, I can speak on your behalf on your calls with:
✨ The IRS to fully understand your back tax situation.
✨ Your credit card company to lower your interest rates and/or set up a payment plan.
✨ Your bank to file a fraud claim or reverse a fee.
✨ Your financial advisor to simplify the vocab or articulate your goals.
✨ It could even just be practicing what you’d say before calling the financial institution.

Financial jargon was designed to exclude women, BIPOC, basically non-YT males. And sometimes, you just need help from someone with an objective view of your situation, who has de-jumbled the jargon, and who understands what is within your rights to request or demand. So let’s get that interest rate lowered, that payment plan established, that fraud claim filed… together— you don’t have to do it alone!

Money Mantra time! Repeat after me, and say it loud 🗣️ for the Negative Nancy in your head to put her in her place.

✨Debt is an obstacle I can overcome. The obstacle is the path, and paying it off will lead me to opportunies I have yet to know.✨

It’s always bittersweet transitioning a client from regular 1:1’s to flying solo. It was a pleasure to work with Miki over the last year in bringing clarity to her financial self-care routine. Solopreneurs like her have a lot on their plates. It was a fun challenge helping her build a system that made sense for her and her needs. And it’s so rewarding to know that I’ve helped Miki improve her financial workflow so that she can spend more of her energy helping others.

Trying to form a new habit — gardening weekly — is literally forging a new pathway in my brain, so I’m reading James Clear’s Atomic Habits for some hacks. Starting’s always the hardest part but the ritual I resolve to establish to make this gardening habit easier: put on my cute overalls and butter up some sunscreen on my skin-cancer-prone hubby.

Look, ma!! I’m in @washingtonpost! Huge thank you to Jackie Veling for including my perspective!

Ever wondered about @flex_hq, the buy-now-pay-later for rent? There is no shame for ever needing to use something like this, but I DO have advice if you’re considering it.

If you need help regularizing your cash flow, I can see Flex only as a *temporary* tool that you *graduate from eventually*. The MINUTE you have your cash flow right, cancel the service! Do not use it as a permanent solution. Use it as *practice* for your cash flow. Plus, it costs $14.99/month +1% of your rent— that adds up!! 💸💸

If you are looking for a *much less* risky alternative, work with a financial counselor— like moi! I specialize in cash flow strategies, plus, I believe that you can do it without Flex. Yes, you can. 💯💯💯

Celebrating Womyn’s Herstory Month by honoring my first love, my Mama Feliza and some of my family history. Thank you for passing down your entrepreneurial spirit to us, Mama, even if some of your endeavors had to do with gambling here and there… 😛😎#womenshistorymonth #womynsherstorymonth by @financialhealing

When a client shares with me their FULL GROWN-A**-ADULT WIN!! I literally jumped up and down in pure joyyyyy 💃🏽 🪩

Paying off your credit card fully each month ain’t no 👶🏽 win. It’s a BIG effing deal!! It means:

📊 You have a full understanding of your *true* cash flow.
📊 You can actually budget for your ideal future AND enjoy the amazing present.
📊 You have *no* interest to worry about 🟰 more 💰 in your pocket instead of someone else’s.
📊 You take the fullest advantage of your card’s rewards (hello, more travel/dining/cash back/etc!).

BONUS: This practice will compound for other good habits like investing and saving for your goals.

I’M ALL ABOUT IIIIIIIT! So prouuuuud of my client for getting their journey to this point. Now, onward to FULL debt repayment!!! WE GOT THIS!!!!!

🗣️ REMINDER: Net worth is not self worth! Net worth is a tool to help you understand where you are and where you want to go with your wealth. Self worth— that comes from within, babyyyy! Nurture your soul and your wealth will find you.

🗣️ Money shame is real. But we don’t need her! She may show us where our deepest money insecurities lie, but let’s work to “unshame” our money selves. Link to some powerful journal prompts in bio. by @financialhealing
