The first CSI Tryout in Latvia was an absolute success! 🇱🇻🏀

Boys and girls showed up ready to compete, give their best effort, and showcase their talent on the court. It was incredible to see the energy, passion, and dedication from every player who participated. Beyond the workouts and competition, we also had the opportunity to speak with players and their families about future opportunities and evaluate each athlete’s potential.

A huge thank you to our guy @first.hoops for helping make this event possible, and special appreciation to Latvian legends — former EuroLeague player Coach Valters and Olympic champion @klasmanis — for leading amazing sessions and putting their heart and soul into helping every kid improve @kvbasketball.

This is just the beginning — we’ll definitely be back soon! 🚀

This journey continues. 🌍🏀

Six days in Riga. Built from scratch.

First Basketball organized a full individual training camp for Siloé Agnes — U13 French player, currently with @dublinraidersbasketballclub in Ireland.

Each day ran in three layers.

🎯 Shooting — Led by a dedicated shooting coach using a CLA (Constraints-Led Approach) and Differential Learning methodology. No corrections, no fixed form. Every rep deliberately different — varying stance, distance, angles, speed, release, arc, time on the clock.

We played Mosquito, Ladder, and Blind (with live defense) throughout the week. Siloé took to Mosquito immediately. 🦟

The Dr. Dish machine @proballer_arena came in later in the week — still CLA-inspired, no identical reps.

⚡ Individual workouts — Led by @kristaps_valters of @kvbasketball, EuroLeague and ACB veteran with 19 years of pro experience. Coach Kristaps shared what actually works at the highest level — first step, aggressiveness, dribble and finishing drills. The kind of details you only get from someone who LIVED it.

🏀 Evenings — Group practices, offensive plays, screen setting, defensive tactics, full court press, and 5-on-5 scrimmages with @ridzenebasketball. Plus one dedicated athletic session in the track and field arena with a separate athletic coach. Big shout out to coach @bruno_kaarlis for welcoming Siloé into the group and showing him what team discipline and spirit look like at that level.

Six days. Three layers. One week that leaves a mark. by @first.hoops
