Apple farm rule: don’t leave without cider donuts + cider 🍎🍩

The warm cider donuts were an easy yes, then we tried a 5-pour hard cider flight overlooking the farm.

Add the wagon ride, apple trees, random sheep, live music, and peak fall views… not a bad way to spend the day 🍂

As Halloween arrives and the fall festival season winds down, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has stopped by Coffea Olea at Fishkill Farms this season!

From your first Freddo Cappuccino to the conversations, laughter, and new friendships shared over coffee, you've made our first season truly special.

A special thank you to the incredible team at @fishkillfarms for welcoming us into this beautiful community and creating such a magical place for people to gather, celebrate, and connect.

We're sharing some dreamy moments captured by the talented @sirinsammanphotography, whose beautiful photography reminds us that coffee is about so much more than what's in the cup.

Come celebrate Halloween and the final Fall Harvest Festival Weekend with us! Costumes, pumpkins, live music, apple picking, and, of course, your favorite coffee drinks await.

The season may be winding down, but this isn't goodbye!

We can hardly believe it, but it's our FINAL Fall Harvest Festival Weekend of the season! Join us Saturday and Sunday for a festive sendoff, complete with Halloween fun, live music, fresh cider donuts, hayrides, delicious food and drinks and more 🍎🎃👻🎶🥂🚜

🎟🌳Now that we're reaching the end of our pick-your-own season, we’re offering Orchard Admission Tickets now through Nov. 8th for guests who'd like to enjoy the orchard grounds without having to purchase a pick-your-own reservation. Tickets are available online or in person at the farm.

🧛On Halloween (Saturday, October 31st) visit the farm for daytime trick-or-treating! Visit our six stations (one located in orchard) for some goodies. We’re also setting up a pumpkin painting station in our courtyard–free to anyone who purchases a pumpkin. We’ll also have free coloring pages available at the tent for added Halloween fun.

🍏 Apple varieties remaining on the trees include eco-certified Granny Smith and Certified Organic Gold Rush. To supplement, we will have bins of pre-picked Macoun, Spartan, Empire, Jonathan, and more harvested at peak ripeness earlier in the season. Please do not climb into the crates, as we want to keep our fruit fresh, clean and free from bruising or contamination. We work hard to grow and harvest it, and appreciate your help taking care of it.

🎃 Looking for pumpkins? We have them in the patch and at the farm store!

🌽 Get lost in our Corn Maze for a Cause, and hop on a scenic hayride 🚜

Painting en Plein Air Art Exhibition: Opening Reception
We’re still not over the magic of last night 🖼️✨🌅

“The works in this show were made in the open air — on this farm, on neighboring farms, and across the surrounding valley — by 8 artists who are regulars at the plein air sessions we host here with Beacon Open Studios. A few were worked up in the studio from sketches made in the field. Each artist sees the Hudson Valley, and the farms that carry its agricultural heritage, differently. Together they form a portrait of this place across the seasons.

The paintings, prints and drawings here tell the stories of the land: the shapes and colors of the woods through the year, the evening light down the orchard rows, the character of gnarled trees, equipment sheds and livestock barns, the sound of a tractor discing a field.

The sessions began in 2025, but art on this farm has a precedent. In the 1930s, the farm’s founder — Henry Morgenthau Jr. — hosted the painter Mitchell Jamieson here for a year, trading room and board for his watercolors.

Why this show?
The Hudson Valley remains one of the most sublime and picturesque landscapes on earth — the one that moved Thomas Cole and Frederic Church to make the work that put American art on the world map. But that landscape has changed over the last century. The valley has lost nearly 80% of its farmland.

At the same time, artists have faced an erosion that echoes farming’s: the industrialization of their work, from the lithograph to the algorithm. Why go to the trouble of making a painting anymore? I hope this show provides one answer. There is a spirit of devotion and defiance in making work by hand, outdoors, in the open landscape and the elements. These artists keep at it, and keep returning to a landscape both unspoiled and deeply changed, with a stubbornness akin to the one that has kept this and other farms going for more than a century.

Special thanks to Darya Golubina for helping organize the show & the painting sessions, to Marguerite Eberhart for running point on the sessions, and to Lori Sanford-Ross for her generous help hanging the show.

— Josh Morgenthau, Farm Owner”

Teddy, Nelson and Morris are baa-rilliant company for a fall farm visit. They can't wait to welcome you!

🍁🍎 Here's the latest picking update:
Our final apple varieties of the season are ripe: Organic Goldrush and Eco-Certified Granny Smith! The April frost affected one of the late-season varieties that usually helps us extend picking into mid-November, so the selection on the trees is lighter than usual after a busy October. It will be necessary to walk to the back of the rows labeled “RIPE.” The fronts may look picked over, but there could still be apples waiting further in the row! We’ll also have bins of our pre-picked, eco-certified apples in the orchard to supplement, giving you more varieties to choose from and plenty of options to fill your bags.

🍏 Other ripe apple varieties this weekend include Certified Organic Enterprise and Galarina, and Eco-Certified Empire, Esopus Spitzenberg, Evercrisp, Fuji, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Newtown Pippin and Rome.
✨We will have pre-picked Gala, Spartan, Empire and Rome in the bins. Please do not climb into the crates, as we want to keep our fruit fresh, clean and free from bruising or contamination. We work hard to grow and harvest it, and appreciate your help taking care of it.
🎃 Still looking for the perfect pumpkin? We have plenty in the patch and at the farm store!
🌽 Get lost in our Corn Maze for a Cause, and hop on a scenic hayride 🚜
🎟 Reminder, reservations are required to access the orchard and participate in Pick-Your-Own, made through our website.

🎶 Live Music will fill the courtyard from 12-4 pm: Bunker Boys on Saturday and Jungle Love on Sunday.

🍔 Find delicious food + drink both Saturday & Sunday from the Farmer's Fork, Treasury Cider Bar, Las Mananitas, Hooked, Farmers & Chefs, Graze & Harvest and Coffea Olea.

🛒 Stop by the Farm Store for fresh produce, handmade pies and lots of other baked goods, bottles of Treasury Cider or NA sparkling cider to take home, and so much more.
