When it comes to targeting wahoo, having the right lures in your spread can make all the difference!

Here’s a look at some of my favorite wahoo lures that I trust when fishing the waters off Cabo San Lucas. Over the years, I’ve experimented with a lot of different lures, and these are some of the ones that have earned a permanent spot in my tackle collection.

Every captain has their favorites, and these are some of mine!

What’s your #1 go-to wahoo lure? Drop it in the comments. I’m always interested in seeing what other fishermen are running!

BISBEE’S BLACK & BLUE 2026. THE WORK STARTS LONG BEFORE THE FIRST LINE HITS THE WATER!

There’s a hell of a lot more to tournament fishing than just showing up and dragging a few lures around.

Today was all about getting the team together, going through our tackle, rigging lures, double-checking IGFA leader lengths, building dredges, and making damn sure every little detail is dialed in before the big show.

Of course, we managed to squeeze in a few cold beers, some camaraderie, plenty of bullshit, and a whole lot of laughs along the way.

But that’s what these days are really about. Building chemistry, sharing knowledge, getting everyone on the same page, and enjoying the company of the guys you’re about to spend some long, intense days offshore with.

When you’re competing in one of the biggest billfish tournaments in the world, preparation matters. But so does having a crew that trusts each other, works together, and knows how to have a good time.

Win or lose, these are the moments that make tournament fishing special. The friendships, the stories, the laughs, and the memories you make along the way.

Now it’s time to put all that preparation to work and see what the Pacific has waiting for us! #rightrigger #fishbisbees

TEAM RIGHT RIGGER | PROTOCOL SPORTFISHING by @fishprotocol

Well shit, cable gave away that keeps my Trim tab from getting sucked into the prop when I go in reverse on a fish! Not sure exactly how it broke. Not sure exactly why I left them down, but it’s part of the game! Shit happens. Fortunately, I had a spare prop and back up and running. by @fishprotocol

Let’s go! by @fishprotocol
