I’ve been a personal trainer for some years now, but I realized I’ve never pulled back the curtain on my professional philosophy. To me, training isn’t just about the hour in the gym, it’s about a sustainable, client-first approach that actually fits your life. ✨ 🤝 Personalized Commitment: We start with what my client can realistically commit to, adjusting habits slowly but surely. There’s no point in forcing rigid programs that won’t work for them. 🧠 Education over Myths: I empower my clients with the “why” behind their training. My goal is to cut through the fitness noise and misinformation. 👥 Team Work: Training is a partnership. I adapt to their likes and dislikes to ensure the routine and nutrition is something they actually enjoy, while making sure that they are always being kept accountable! 🏆 Ultimate Goal: In addition to making their fitness dreams come true, my mission is to build their confidence until they feel fully equipped to navigate any gym on their own. I’m opening up 2 spots for new clients this month. If you’re ready to start your fitness journey and build a sustainable routine that fits your lifestyle, DM me to start your journey! 📩 #personaltrainer #fitnessjourney #selfempowerment #selfimprovement #coach by @fitwithjo_
Now, I’m shifting my focus to other aspects of life, such as advancing my career, exploring the world, and cherishing time with loved ones. I’m currently maintaining my body weight while building muscle through calisthenics and looking forward to trying out different sports like bouldering. I can’t wait to enhance my pickleball skills and engage in more recreational activities. You’ll definitely see me competing in other sports, so stay tuned for my future endeavors! I do plan to return to the bodybuilding stage in the future—perhaps a decade from now—once I’ve established myself and embraced all that life has to offer. 💪 Thank you to all who were a part of my journey. My Coach @the_brandonchan Caring for my wellbeing, consistent with my check ins. keeping me accountable for my diet and workouts, and had lots of patience with me. My Posing Coach @posingbya For creating a wonderful routine! My OG Posing Coach @kym.lifts For laying a solid foundation and emphasizing the importance of mobility. My boyfriend @jafutes For being there and supporting me EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Having a an immense amount of patience with me while I was tired, irritable, highly emotional, and still loving me just the same. My Best Gym and Prep Buddy @dreagyms For our daily walks and support. I’m beyond grateful to have a precious friend to share this prep journey with. The power of female friendships! My parents I was initially nervous about telling them since they would be seeing their precious daughter on stage, almost naked, posing in a bikini. However, they turned out to be some of my biggest cheerleaders and showed incredible patience at home. My gym fam @fittopia_official Supporting me while I cried at the gym when you just asked how I was doing. Giving me advice and encouragement! I knew I was never alone. My friends Being chill with me bringing my own food, going on walks instead of eating out and supporting my journey! Bikini Competition Suit Designer @mandanaluxuryswim For creating a stunning custom piece that received countless compliments. And a huge thank you to everyone who follows me and cheers me on online! #bikinicompetitor by @fitwithjo_

The most expensive butter ever to exist. 🧈🏃💨 $43 Running Vest $70 Sun Run Ticket $5 33% Heavy Cream $19 1 hour minimum wage labor = $137 CAD of Sweat Salted, Run-Churned Butter! 😆 I honestly forgot I was even making it for most of the 10km, its a nice surprise HAHA If you want to try the “Sweat Salted, Run-Churn” Butter method: 1️⃣ Pour your 33% cream in a quadrupled Zip Lock Bag, fill it up no more than 1/3rd of the bag 2️⃣ Squeeze all the air out. 3️⃣ Jog 10km non-stop. 4️⃣ Top with actual salt (not sweat) but YDY 💦 Well worth the process and the challenge. One of the best post-run snacks ever. 🧂✨ Totally down to make some ice cream for the 2027 Sun Run!! Who’s gonna do it with MEE??? 🥹🍦🍨 #RunChurned #SunRun2026 #HomemadeButter #10KMRun #SunRun Challenge RunFood bloodsweatandtears by @fitwithjo_
READ THE CAPTION! There is so much misinformation in the fitness industry! 🚩 ✨ Myth: Lifting light so you don’t get “bulky.” Fact: It’s like saying, you won’t save money because you’re afraid you’ll accidentally wake up a billionaire. Lifting challenging weights is what actually gives you that “toned” look. 🏋️‍♀️ ✨ Myth: Pilates makes you skinny. Fact: Pilates builds core strength and posture, but “skinniness” comes down to heavy resistance training and calories in vs calories out, not through Pilates 🩰 ✨ Myth: Spot reducing belly fat. Fact: You cannot choose where your body burns fat. Sit-ups build ab muscle, but fat loss happens globally across the whole body and is affected by your genetics. 🍫 ✨ Myth: Sweating in hoodies melts fat. Fact: You’re just losing water weight and dehydrating yourself. Fat loss happens through a calorie deficit, not your body temperature. 💦 ✨ Myth: “Shocking” muscles with random exercises. Fact: Muscles need Progressive Overload(doing the same moves better/heavier over time) to grow. Constant randomness just prevents progress. ⚡️ ✨ Myth: Carbs make you gain weight. Fact: Overeating calories makes you gain weight. Carbs are your body’s preferred energy source for high-intensity workouts! 🥯 ✨ Myth: Natural sugar is 0 calories. Fact: Honey and agave still have calories and still spike insulin. Your body treats “natural” sugar almost exactly like white sugar. 🍯 Stop falling for the “cheat codes” and stick to the basics! 📈💪 Be careful with which influencers you follow. #FitnessMyths #fitnesseducation #gymgirl #WorkoutScience #personaltrainer by @fitwithjo_

As long as you’re getting just 1% better every day, you’re on the right track! 📈🎯 ✈️ Just like an airplane adjusts it’s flight path by a few degrees to reach a completely different destination, every small decision we make will lead to remarkable results over time. 🌟 Even the tiniest progress at the gym or simply showing up for yourself will lead to amazing transformations. 💪✨ That analogy from ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear has always truly resonated with me! 📚🤓 🛍️ Top from @ragafitwear Use code “JOANNA10” at checkout! #motivation #fitness #personaltrainer #starttoday #1percentbettereveryday #selfimprovement #progressnotperfection by @fitwithjo_
Master Your Squat! 🏋️‍♀️🎯 Do’s: ✅ Feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly out ✅ Full foot contact (big toe, little toe, sides, balls, and heels) ✅ Control your descent—take 3 seconds to lower ✅ Keep chest up & maintain an upright posture ✅ Drive through your feet, engaging those glutes on the way up! ✅ Brace your core—inhale through your nose, exhale at the top! Don’ts: ❌ Don’t let knees cave in (watch out for knee valgus!) ❌ Avoid excessive hinging at the hips ❌ Don’t lift your butt first—move as one piece ❌ Don’t round or excessively arch your back—keep it neutral with head aligned with spine! Pointers: 👉 Elevate your heels if you struggle with depth 👉 Track your knees in line with your toes 👉 Strengthen hip abductors to avoid knee issues Ready to elevate your squat game? Let’s crush those fitness goals together! 🚀✨ #SquatMastery #FitnessJourney #StrengthTraining #HealthyLifestyle #functionalexercise #foundationalexercise #gymessentials by @fitwithjo_
