Five Mics is a fast-paced hip-hop trading card game (think Yugioh/Pokemon, but rappers instead of dragons).

Hardcore is built for battle. Aggressive speed, quick and big damage every play. Even your "small" artists carry heavy weight. So what's the problem? You might burn out quick, especially if your damage can't cut thru - like against the Conscious Style's high DEF and ability to cut (reduce) direct damage to ZERO. That's where TRAPS come in! Face-down events that flip when your Opp meets the condition. This puts them on edge as now they gotta second-guess every move and switch up their strategy. Catch 'em slippin', and that might be game. #fivemicstcg #cardgames #tcgplayer #hiphopgame #blerd by @fivemics_tcg
Deck Profile! “2nd Letter 5th Vowel” - a deck cookup we made in honor of the one-and-only, Ian Kelly (@firstnameian)! Ian Kelly is a super talented hip-hop artist in Oakland, CA, and this whole deck is built around him. His superpower? “Enhanced Vision” - always one step ahead of the rest. In Five Mics, this allows him to be extremely difficult to KO or take damage when in battle. Protect means he can’t get jumped (attacked by 2+ artists simultaneously). He cuts 2 damage for each opposing artist on stage. That plus a strong 6 DEF makes him nearly untouchable. We built the rest of the deck around protecting that energy: 🎤 “Ran Outta OJ” keeps your hand moving without draining resources - and being able to “heal” means you’ll always get back what you let go. 🎤 Chill items like “Flower” give Ian Kelly extra power on offense. But the real clutch card? “Fumes In The Air”. 🎤 “Fumes In The Air” reduces all opposing artists’ ATK and DEF by -1. This opens up more chances for the rest of your roster to put in work, while Ian holds it all together. The game plan is simple: protect your peace, exhaust your Opp, and let Ian Kelly close it out. This is exactly the kind of deck that shows what can happen when real hip-hop artists enter Five Mics. Full deck profile is up on Five Mics Central - come build the deck yourself, and show Ian Kelly some love! #fivemicstcg #hiphoptcg #iankelly #tradingcardgame #cardgames by @fivemics_tcg

For the Party Style, "Money Is Power." Literally. All Styles can "Reup", but not quite like Party. Being up +9 bags in one Round is just a normal day for the Party Style. Also, Party artists can "Fly" - meaning they can deal damage straight to your Opp WITHOUT needing to battle. The result? A high offense, fast-paced Style that can end the whole game in just 3 Rounds. FAST LIFE. BLOW MONEY FAST. You here for a good time, not a long time. Let's Party. #fivemicstcg #hiphoptcg #cardgames #fastlife #tcgplayer by @fivemics_tcg
Meet Big Hot Girl (GEN069) - the Main Act of the Hardcore Starter Deck, and the Queen of the Guest Verse. +3 ATK when she attacks any opposing artist that costs 4 or less. She's a PROBLEM in all the best ways. So intimidating, so desirable. America Valdez drew her perfectly. She fits in ANY deck since her ability isn't Style-locked. But in Hardcore? She's a must-have due to additional synergies - e.g. Trilly Stick, Street Sweepa, etc. #fivemicstcg #bighotgirl #cardgames #hiphoptcg #tcgplayer by @fivemics_tcg

🌱 The Chill Style philosophy: "Peaceful Long Life." One key ability Chill has is "Heal". In Five Mics, your deck IS your health, so every time you Heal, you shuffle cards from your dirt back into your deck (gain life). The longer the battle, the higher your odds to outlast your Opp. So, Chill players don't rush. They relax and play the long game. If you're the type to play patient and let the game come to you, then CHILL is YOUR Style. #fivemicstcg #cardgames #hiphoptcg #blerd by @fivemics_tcg
Faded (GEN105) is an "auto-include" for many Emo decks for a reason. For just 2 bags, you get a defense AND offense play in just one card. Play it in your backstage to make your Opp think twice when you're on defense ("KO my Emo artist, and lose 1 of yours in the process"). OR, sacrifice one of your OWN Emo artists to take one of theirs out while you're still active on offense. Absolute madness. #fivemicstcg #cardgames #hiphoptcg #emo by @fivemics_tcg
Deck Spotlight! "Trap Queen", created and piloted by Tai (@TheNicFlair). This is one of the most calculated decks coming out of Unity City - and we're gonna break it down today. "Trap Queen" is a pure Hardcore Traps deck, but here's what makes his archetype different. It's not just about dropping traps and hoping something sticks. Tai's strategy is deliberate. Cheating in "Kick In The Door" to your backstage EARLY does the heavy lifting. Whether you're taking early control or catching your Opp off guard when they think they got you beat. That's the kind of timing that separates execs from the casual players. How will you cheat that trap in? Throw some "Black Air 1s" on one of your artists - preferably "Camo Savage," who's good at holding it down early game (she's your "Trap Queen" 😍). Are the Black Air 1s expensive? Yeah. But worth every bag, as you get to play mind games while your traps stack up in the back. And then, best for last: "Push Dispenser". He's your main engine for mid-late game. Every trap you run makes Push bigger and more dangerous. He's the reason the deck actually works. Get him on stage around Round 3 or 4, with a couple traps already in play, and it's nighty night. What Tai does so well here with this deck is blend the trap focus with actual Hardcore presence. "Trilly Stick", "Big Hot Girl", and "Camo Savage" do a great job at holding the line while you build your traps and set up for Push Dispenser. The Trap Queen deck has layers. It's built on patience and precision, not luck. If you've been sleeping on Hardcore, Trap Queen is the wake-up call. Tap in with Tai in our discord or add him as a Homie on Five Mics Central! Big shoutout to @thenicflair (Tai) for putting in that WORK in the Inland Empire. Every other Sunday at his local spot, putting folks on to Five Mics. Equipped in a Five Mics fit. Tai has also been front and center at our last two kickbacks out there in the IE, teaching new players how to play and spreading the fun for hours. That's REAL Five Mics community building right there. People like Tai make it possible. Appreciate you, Tai. 🫡 #fivemicstcg #hiphoptcg #cardgames #inlandempire by @fivemics_tcg

Meet Cash Bag$ (GEN031) — the 1-cost Party artist is exactly what his name says: 💰💰💰! Reup 3 on the turn you play him? That's 2 net-new bags to spend as soon as you play him. Yeah, he can't attack that round, but lil homie only got 1 ATK anyway. He's only here to do one thing: GET MONEY! Easy to add in any deck, but Party builds get extra sauce with the Fly synergies and cost reduction for some of those expensive Party cards. This is how you get ahead early. 💸 #fivemicstcg #cardgames #hiphop #tcg #blerd by @fivemics_tcg
