The Art & Science of Designing a Beautiful Smile ✨

Every beautiful smile begins with a vision. But the most extraordinary smiles begin with collaboration.

At Flax Dental, we combine the artistry of cosmetic dentistry with the precision of Digital Smile Design and 3D-printed smile mockups to create smiles that are as unique as the people wearing them.

🎨 The Art: Designing a radiant, natural-looking smile that complements your facial features, personality, and expressions.

🔬 The Science: Using advanced digital technology to carefully plan proportions, contours, and harmony—while prioritizing the preservation of your natural tooth structure.

🤝 The Collaboration: Here’s where the magic happens! Our 3D-printed smile prototypes allow you to test-drive your potential new smile before committing to treatment.

You can see it. Experience it. Share what you love—and what you’d like to change.

Because the most important voice in designing your smile is YOURS.

Our philosophy is simple: Preserve more. Plan better. Create beautifully.

The result? A personalized, radiant smile designed with intention, precision, and your input every step of the way.

Combining Smile Architect Technology with the Art of Porcelain Veneers

We just completed a dream smile for one of our patients. She wanted it to look natural and allow to fit her vision of what she always wanted. Not fake - or overdone.

A beautiful smile shouldn’t look “done.”
It should look like it was always meant to be yours.

With Smile Architect, we can digitally plan the proportions, position, symmetry and facial harmony of a new smile before the final porcelain is ever created.

But technology is only part of the equation.

The artistry comes in translating that plan into porcelain—creating the subtle contours, texture, translucency and individual character that make a smile look beautifully natural.

Technology designs it.
Artistry brings it to life.

And when the two come together, the goal isn’t simply beautiful teeth.

It’s a smile that simply belongs.

15 YEARS LATER… AND HIS VENEERS ARE STILL GETTING COMPLIMENTS FROM DENTISTS.

Recently, a patient left us a Google review that was essentially 15 years in the making-swipe to see some of his comments .

He now lives out of state, and over the years, several dentists who have examined his smile have commented on how natural his veneers look—even after all this time.

What makes us especially proud?

They admire that they’re Naturally Imperfect.

Because beautiful veneers shouldn’t look like veneers.

Natural teeth have subtle differences in shape, texture, translucency and character. When every tooth is perfectly identical, perfectly white and perfectly symmetrical, the result can actually look less natural.

That’s why our Smile Architect approach isn’t about creating “perfect teeth.”

It’s about creating a smile that looks like it has always belonged to you.

And longevity is designed into the process:

✨ Preserve as much healthy enamel as possible
✨ Design the smile around the patient’s face and personality
✨ Respect the bite and functional forces
✨ Use meticulous bonding techniques
✨ Choose beautiful, durable ceramics
✨ Protect and maintain the result over time

We have seen veneers last 20+ years and, in some patients, approach 30 years. Individual results vary, but our philosophy remains the same:

Make them natural.
Make them personal.
Make them conservatively.
And design them to last.

Fifteen years later, having another dentist admire your smile may be one of the best compliments we can receive.

That’s cosmetic dentistry built for the long game.

✨ THE SMILE ARCHITECT ADVANTAGE

A truly exceptional smile makeover should accomplish three things:

1. CUSTOMIZED BEAUTY
Your smile shouldn’t look like someone else’s. Using Digital Smile Design, we create a smile specifically around your face, lips, personality, and natural features—considering tooth shape, length, proportions, symmetry, and color.

2. SEE IT BEFORE WE CREATE IT
With advanced 3D printing, we can transform the digital design into a realistic smile prototype.

That means you can actually preview and experience your new smile—and collaborate with us on the design—before your final restorations are created.

3. PRESERVE PRECIOUS ENAMEL
Perhaps the greatest advantage of planning first is knowing exactly what needs to be changed—and what doesn’t.

Our Smile Architect approach allows us to be as conservative as possible, preserving healthy natural enamel whenever clinically appropriate while creating the space and proportions needed for a beautiful result.

Because cosmetic dentistry shouldn’t simply be about creating a dramatic before-and-after.

It should be about creating a customized, beautiful smile designed with precision and preservation in mind for long-term success.

Customized. Previewed. Preserved.

THE ULTIMATE ACCESSORY?
YOUR SMILE. ✨

We spend so much time thinking about the details that enhance our appearance—our hair, clothes, jewelry, skincare.

But there’s one accessory you never take off:

Your smile.

A thoughtfully designed smile can brighten the face, create a more youthful appearance and give you something even more valuable—the confidence to smile without thinking about it.

And unlike most accessories, a beautiful smile can also be designed with health and function in mind: proper bite, stronger teeth and a foundation intended to serve you for years.

Look at these before-and-after photos. The woman hasn’t changed.

But the way her smile frames her face certainly has.

Rebuilding not just the physical wear and tear , as well as , her inner joy was a mission that has created a “ ripple effect “ in all parts of her life.
It wasn’t an overnight success. Many details to “ follow the Yellow Brick Road” of esthetics, health and function with a mission for long term durable results.

That’s why I believe great cosmetic dentistry isn’t about creating “perfect teeth.”

It’s about designing a smile that looks like it was always meant to belong to you.

Your smile may just be the ultimate accessory—for your appearance, your confidence, and your health.

What if you could “test-drive” your new smile before we create it? ✨

With today’s digital technology, you can.

At Flax Dental, we use digital smile design and 3D printing to create a customized Smile Mockup—allowing you to preview the possibilities for your new smile before the final treatment begins.

But the real magic is collaboration.

Together, we can evaluate:

✨ Tooth shape, size & proportion
✨ Smile width and symmetry
✨ How your smile complements your face
✨ How it looks when you speak and laugh
✨ The subtle details that make your smile feel uniquely YOU

You get to see it.
You get to experience it.
And most importantly—you get to help design it with us.

Because creating a beautiful smile shouldn’t be about guessing what you’ll like.

It should be about designing it together.

Preview it. Experience it. Perfect it. Then create it.

That’s the power of a digitally designed Smile Mockup.

THE TRANSFORMATION

It began with a beautiful transformation.

A new smile.
A new confidence.
A reason to smile without hesitation.

THEN LIFE INTERVENED…

A hit-and-run accident damaged the smile we had worked so hard to create.

In an instant, something that had brought so much confidence and joy was broken.

But we weren’t going to let the story end there.

WE WEREN’T GOING TO LET THE STORY END THERE.

Our team and laboratory came together with one goal:

Rebuild what had been lost.

Restore what the accident had taken away.

And give her back the smile—and confidence—she deserved.

VICTORY FROM DEFEAT

Her smile was back.

And so was her joy.

Sometimes dentistry is about more than restoring teeth.

It’s about helping someone feel whole again.
