Dance your stress away! 💃

Dancing isn’t just good for your body, it's be great for your mind too! Moving to music can help reduce stress and lower levels of cortisol, the hormone your body releases when you’re under stress.

At the same time, dancing can boost feel-good chemicals like endorphins and dopamine, helping you feel happier & more relaxed. 😁🧘

So next time you’re feeling stressed…put on your fave song and dance it out! Or even better, come to class! 🎵💃

How often do you stretch? Probably not enough like most people!
I truly believe you will have a more comfortable life if you regularly stretch & don't feel disheartened if you start feeling v.stiff, if you manage to do this regularly you'll notice the difference! 💪

Firstly jump around for about a minute to warm up your muscles and get your heart pumping! ❤️🔥

Stretch 1 - Butterfly 🦋
Sit in the floor, soles of the feet together creating a diamond in your lap. Flap your legs like wings to loosen your hips the lean forwards taking your head towards your feet and hold for 30 seconds.

Stretch 2 - hamstrings! 🦵
Sit up straight with legs straight out in front of you and lean forwards. Don't let your knees bend and breathe into the stretch and hold for 30 seconds. Your aim is for your head to touch your straight legs one day!

Stretch 3 - Dancers call 2nd! 🥈
Sit in the floor and take your legs out to the side as far as they will go without hurting yourself! Make sure your knees don't bend and if they do bring them in a bit.
Stretch over to each side holding for 10 seconds then down in the centre and hold for 30. When leaning forwards don't let your knees bend or your legs/feet roll inwards, try keep them facing up to the sky!
Your aim one day is for your head to be on the floor!

Repeat this sequence 3x if you have time and if not once is better than none!!! 💪✨

Comment or DM me if you need any help!

Did you know? A study by Dr Joe Verghese and colleagues, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that frequent dancing was associated with a 76% lower risk of dementia. 🧠
