I’m proud to announce both of these photos have won the Scholastic Arts & Writing National Gold Medal. Over 110,000 students entered more than 335,000 works of art and writing to the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and approximately 2% are recognized nationally. Gold Medals make up an even smaller share of that group, representing only the top percentage of entries nationwide. I’m extremely grateful to have two of my works be recognized as Gold Medals and I’m excited to be invited to NYC for the awards ceremony. A special thank you to @jordan_jet_lee and @hnnah.0h for being such great people to photograph and share moments with, this could have never happened without you guys! by @flicks.by.dylan

What a year. 2025 took me places I never imagined I’d be able to go.

From simply bringing a camera to hometown swim meets, to being at the highest level of collegiate competition, to finding myself standing on deck at World Championships is definitely something I never thought I’d experience. I found myself in places I used to only watch from a screen. Traveling across the country and across the world with a camera in hand has felt surreal to do.

Looking back on the year, I am thankful for every opportunity I had which was only made possible by everyone who believed and took a chance on me. I’m also grateful for all the people I was able to meet and connect with this year and the incredible moments I never thought I’d be part of. 2025 raised the bar in every way.

Looking forward to what 2026 brings. by @flicks.by.dylan
