“Current status: somewhere between trusting the process and questioning the entire process”.

Not going to lie, lately life has felt like taking hit after hit. The stings were heavy and it’s tough when things shift overnight. But instead of letting it break me, I’m focusing on what I need to grow and to feel comfortable.

Things aren’t quite okay yet, and I guess that’s okay too.

I’m grateful for the opportunities to keep training and for the people who have welcomed me and are supporting me along the way.

A special thank you to Team Mayer Virtanen for the warm welcome in Finland, and to Michael for his tips and especially our conversation at the airport. It really meant a lot! ❤️

For now, I’m just taking things day by day, without rushing into decisions about what’s next.

Missing my usual season opener in my hometown was disappointing and had consequences, but it simply came too soon. Going to Finland instead gave me a much-needed change of scenery, some breathing room and the chance to focus on just skating for a while.

But …. soon, I’ll finally be competing again! ⛸️

This time, it’s not about scores, placements or expectations. It’s about experiencing the competition, being surrounded by amazing skaters, skating my programs and just seeing how it all feels.

Who knows, maybe being out there will remind me of what I love about this sport.

And hey, if I end up doing three faceplants but still fully enjoy my program... then so be it! I’ll call that a win!

“Life lately? A lot of chaos, even more choreography and some Finnish magic”.

Finland always feels like coming home! 🇫🇮❤️

Three days of training so far, including nine choreography sessions with Monica. Thank you for your endless patience, creativity and inspiration! ❤️

Next up: getting those jumps back and running through my programs! After way too little ice time lately, there’s definitely some catching up to do. 😅

“Progress may be slow, but so am I after three weeks of bootcamp.” 😅⛸️

Week 3 of Bootcamp on Ice is done so that’s a wrap on three weeks with our amazing guest coaches Julía and Andras. Thank you for all your help and hopefully we’ll see you again next year!

Worked hard and slowly but surely it’s all starting to feel better 💪🏻🔥

Also a big thank you to @angelskate2010, @mohammed02_2 and @denis.krouglov for making the breaks just as much fun as the training! 🤍

Let’s put a little madness on the ice!”

So happy to have worked with Monica Lindfors on my programs for the new season.

She created my new Junior Short Program, a difficult one, but such an exciting challenge. I’m super happy with it and can’t wait to grow into it step by step.

Thank you Monica for your creativity, patience, patience, even more patience and above all for the inspiration to create something that fits me, challenges me, and tells a story I can’t wait to bring to the ice.

“Tired legs, full notebook, happy heart!”

Two weeks of camp in Finland and the first steps into the new season are done. 🇫🇮✨

Around 80 sessions on and off the ice: technique, skating skills, dance, off-ice, body recovery, rotations, choreo and privates.

In week one, I had the chance to work with guest coaches Michael Huth and Raimo Reinsalu and in week two with Brian Joubert.

A big thank you to Team Mayer Virtanen for the great organisation and to all the coaches for the hard work, energy and inspiration.

Thanks Jorik for giving me the opportunity to spend these two weeks in Finland.
