Was denkst du: Blockiert dein Gehirn dich manchmal auch in stressigen Phasen?

An inspiring day at the ÖHV Forum 2026 discussing one of the questions that will shape the future of hospitality.

Digital Twin & Longevity: Transferring new behaviors sustainably into everyday life.

I believe the next generation of hotels won’t be defined by architecture or luxury alone.

They will be remembered because they create lasting change.

The best hotels of the future won’t simply be the most beautiful places. They will be the ones that continue to influence your thoughts, emotions and behaviors long after you’ve checked out.

Hospitality is evolving—from creating unforgettable stays to becoming a lifelong companion for health, wellbeing and personal development.

A huge thank you to the Österreichische Hotelvereinigung (ÖHV) for the invitation and to everyone who joined the discussion. It was a pleasure sharing the stage with such inspiring experts and exchanging ideas on where our industry is heading.

The recovery gap is closing.

@firstbeat_technologies Big Data shows that women’s recovery time increased from around 21% in 2021 to 24% in 2026—bringing women and men to almost the same level.

Earlier data from 292,000 measured days showed that women experienced more physiological stress and less recovery.

The insight: recovery is dynamic—and understanding it requires objective data, individual context and a closer look at the nervous system.

I love my Garmin. Nevertheless, every year I deliberately take a few weeks off from tracking.

No scores. No metrics. No constant feedback.

It’s my digital detox — a conscious reset to reconnect my mind with my body and sharpen my perception of what I actually feel.

Sometimes less data creates more awareness. More nature. More senses. More connection. And I promise: You‘ll be alright.

Your body has been trying to tell you.

For many people, stress becomes visible only when energy, sleep, focus or relationships are already affected. Yet the nervous system has often been responding for much longer.
This is the conviction behind BalancedYou™: we should not merely collect more health data.

We should help people understand what their body is signalling — and give them a practical path to act on it.

After more than two decades working at the intersection of prevention, neurobiology and behaviour change, I believe the next chapter of health will be more personal, more continuous
and more human.

This trailer is a first glimpse of the vision we are building.
