Today I had one of those little moments with my girl that really made me stop and think. 🥹❤️

She was a little nervous about going on the zip wire and didn’t think she could do it, so we had a little pep talk about being brave, believing in yourself and sometimes having to step outside of your comfort zone to try new things.

And do you know what? She took a deep breath, gave it a go and absolutely LOVED it! 🥰

It got me thinking…

Sometimes the things that scare us the most are the very things that could lead us to something amazing.

Whether it’s trying something new, taking a chance on yourself or stepping into something completely unknown, it’s so easy to let fear hold us back.

But imagine all the amazing things we could miss out on if we never took that first step?

A little reminder that being brave doesn’t mean not being scared. It means doing it anyway. 🤍

And I hope I can keep teaching her that, whilst reminding myself of it along the way. ✨🫶

But what if it does?! ✨

My favorite season is here and I’m feeling a shift...

not in the endless mum to-do list, but in the way I want to just say LET’S GO FOR IT with that goal I’ve been putting off.

So this month i’m going all in. That thing I’ve been wanting to try, build, or BECOME between being a mum & life in general!

I’m locking in and doing it.

Because seriously, WHAT IF IT ALL WORKS OUT?!

I’ll be over here rooting for myself every step of the way🤎

Not me turning my kitchen appliance into an actual personality trait. 💎😂

Some people buy new handbags… I bedazzle my water ioniser. Priorities, ladies. 💁‍♀️✨

The moment you stop living for other people’s approval is the moment you start living for yourself🫶

🌸 Freedom is a choice you make🌸

And I’m choosing a life with more moments, more adventures & more time with my little girl.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what I actually want my life to look like… 🤍

Since becoming a mum, I think you see time in a completely different way.

You realise how quickly they grow, and how many of those little moments you never get back.

And honestly, I don’t want to spend my life constantly rushing from one thing to the next, waiting for the weekend or counting down to the next holiday.

I want more of the everyday stuff.

More slow mornings.
More spontaneous days out.
More holidays and making memories.
More time with my little girl. 🤍

But I also still have dreams and ambitions of my own.

And I’ve realised I don’t want to feel like I have to choose between being a good mum and building something for myself.

I want to have both.

That’s a huge part of why I started looking at doing things differently and building something that could give me a bit more freedom and flexibility around our life.

I don’t have it all figured out. I’m still learning and figuring it out as I go… but for the first time, in a long time I feel like I’m actually building towards the kind of life I’ve always wanted.

And if you’re a mum who’s ever thought “I just want more time with my family”… honestly, I get it. 🤍

Because time is something we can never get back.

This time of year just has my whole heart 🍂🤎 As September comes to an end, it feels like the perfect time for a little reset, a chance to set new goals, get clear on what you want and start showing up consistently, even amongst the beautiful chaos of mum life.

But amongst the goals and busy days, it’s also a reminder to slow down and appreciate the little moments them extra cuddles, the laughs, the family time and the memories we’re creating along the way. Because those little moments really are the big ones. ✨🤍

You don’t need to have it all figured out or do it perfectly. Just keep taking those little steps, keep believing in yourself and remember to enjoy the life you’re building along the way. 🍂✨ by @flourishwithchels
