I’m beyond grateful for the love and support from the Wichita skating community and our incredible partners—Cherry Bomb Roller Skate Shop, Carousel Roller Rink, Wichita State University, and Wichita Park & Recreation - Lynette Woodard.

A special thank you to Kristin for sharing space at Wichita State University. That opportunity meant more than you know.

Last year, Cherry Bomb asked what my goals were for 2025. I said I hoped to host at least three Rollerskate skate classes and be better at pivots. I never imagined it would grow into so many roller skate classes across Wichita.

Thank you to Wichita, KS and the surrounding areas for trusting me to teach beginners ages 6+ and for showing up for skate dance classes with so much energy and heart.

It’s been an absolute pleasure. Looking forward to rolling with you all in 2026 🛼✨. by @flowandskate

I’ve come to realize that no matter how often I practice a skate move, spins, sit spins, compass, ground work, etc, if i dont have a strong core/back i will only limit myself.

We want to reach our fullest potential, right?!

While i knew that for some years, I’ve honestly been a little lazy but also not knowing what core exercises to do. I was always stuck thinking i could only do planks and crunches.

More recently i listened to Rhonda Rousey interview on breakfast club. She shared, after giving birth she mainly only focused on rebuilding her core. By cementing core strength, she then was able to move on to strength building in other areas.

That was motivation for me.

I’ve had 3 kids and never solely focused on my core strength before jumping into weight training and such.

The past 3 weeks I’ve come up with special core workouts to complete Monday-Friday. Each day focuses on different core/back areas. While I haven’t completed each day consistently, it’s been more of twice a week. Shoot, this mama had to slowly break her body in for those areas.

Since focusing on core/back, I feel like my skate moves are more stable and comfortable. I’ve even surprised myself with sit spins at a decent speed.

I’m ecstatic for this continuous journey and looking forward to honing into fundamentals even more, inside and out of skates.

Hope this enlightened someone. ❤️ by @flowandskate

This session was so fruitful: Toe spins, combos, dips, pivots and cross spins. Crazy how much you can get done in 90 minutes! Link to register for local AND virtual private lessons is in my bio as always! by @flowandskate

You totally got this! Take your time, breathe, and put in the work. You’ll be Dippin saucy in no time. ⭐️

When asked this question at the rink, I tend to draw a blank. I am filled with so many distractions from music to floor capacity and everything in between. I easily get squirrel brain and want to move in a way that makes me feel good with not discipline or restrictions.

At home, I’m a little more disciplined. I have a little more control of my surroundings and glean easily get grounded in a series of moves. Not to say I can’t do that at the rink, it just takes more intentions to do that there.

No matter what, still embracing whichever location I’m at and practicing whatever comes to mind at the time.

Forward compass spin

Saw @kaseyskates6 do this often, I had to add to a list of moves to drill.

Oldie video but is a gem for me. I took sometime out of skates due to family reasons and when I started back recently, the forward compass spin was not as smooth as these clips. I completely forgot about these clips from last year and happy I found them. 😊

@curlie_cam is one of the most talented, graceful, and kind skaters that I know. She has hosted amazing skate classes, with - I hope!! - more to come in the future.
