Every legend has a beginning.

Today was ours.

First official practice for the Sports Academy Swish – Inland Empire girls, and the beginning of what we believe can become something special.

Day One wasn’t about installing a bunch of plays or trying to make everything look perfect. It was about laying the foundation for how we want to play, learn, compete, and develop.

Play smart. Sprint the floor. Make decisions. Communicate. Compete with purpose. Learn how to play the game.

Most importantly, begin building habits that will stay with these players far beyond one practice, one season, or one team.

A special thank you to @fluidmotiongid and @coach_delus for being in the gym with us on Day One and pouring their knowledge and experience into the next generation of players.

There will be wins and losses. Mistakes and breakthroughs. Hard practices and great moments.

But every journey starts somewhere.

This is Day One.

Before the rankings. Before the exposure. Before the big stage. There’s identity. Work. Development. Belief.

Much love to ESPN for showing our girls some love in the updated SC Next Rankings.
The rankings are appreciated, but the daily work, the relationships, the growth, and the championships will always mean the most.
Proud of these athletes and all they’ve accomplished.
The love is appreciated. The work continues.

God is good! We did it! 2026 17U EYBL Champions.
It’s hard to put into words how proud I am of this group of players and coaches. This championship wasn’t just about talent. It was about character, sacrifice, trust, and an unwavering commitment to each other.
This team embodied what it means to be great teammates. We took pride in the right things, held each other accountable, and chose “we over me” every single day. That’s why this group is so special. That’s why this championship means so much.
Surround yourself with people who walk in love, who are willing to teach and willing to learn. People who push you to be your best while remaining honest with themselves and others. Great things happen when a group commits to something bigger than themselves.
We hear the noise. We understand it comes with the territory. But this Swish Family is built for moments like this.
Grateful for every player, coach, parent, and supporter who helped make this journey possible.
2026 EYBL Champions. Forever connected. Forever family.

Not every moment at Nike Nationals happened on the court.
Nike Mind mindfulness experience is designed to help athletes prepare for what’s next by activating their senses, quieting the noise, and focusing on what matters most before competition.
A chance to slow down, be present, and lock in with their teammates during one of the biggest weeks of the season. #NikeMind #NikeNationals @niketraining @nikegirlseybl @DicksSportingGoods by @sportsacademyswish
