POSTS STORIES REELS

The big reveal is done. The @salon.roma_2026 was outside this year and it was absolutely amazing. I had so much fun and met a lot of new and old friends. Thank you so much @caterina_manisco_painter_decor , @stefanoluca_art and all other volunteers and sponsors that made this possible! Following is a bit of a step-by-step of the work that went into the panel. by @foffe84

Here’s my panel for this year’s international Salon for decorative painters in Hamburg.
It consists of a Grey Breche centred panel, surrounded by Rouge Belgium marble and a made up Emerald Green marble in the centre. I added some trompe l’œil to the Grey Breche from an old French book I found. And challenged myself with something new to try to make the Emerald Green marble as deep as I possibly could to make it look a bit like see-through glass.

All painted in waterbased acrylics.

Salon San Francisco 2023 - This is my exhibition panel for this year. Centre panel is sort of a faux Amethyst, on a plaque of Portoro marble. This is surrounded by Green Campan and a deep red faux fabric design. Outer areas are painted in a Verde Antique marble and all the ornaments are painted to look like gold to represent the Goldrush. I also included the Lion and Unicorn to represent our late Queen and the coronation of our new King this year. @decorativepaintingsalon #faux #marble #trompeloeil #decorativearts #decoration #interiordesign #art by @foffe84

Love to paint this marble! Red Griotte or Griotte d’italie (which my friend @julien_gautier_ told me is an misinterpretation since the marble has always been quarried in France, but been widely popular in Italy. ) here’s my painted version of it. Hope you enjoy. by @foffe84

I’ve been so bad posting lately. It’s all been a bit more stories about me running etc, which I know is not really why you follow me. But throughout this year I’ve really tried to make a massive change for myself. Running and live slightly healthier have made a massive difference. But as always a love painting and practicing. So even if I don’t post everything, I’m always here, in the background, testing out new techniques, brushes and paints. by @foffe84

I painted this one right after I got back from Salon Roma. I saw so many fantastic grisailles in Rome, so thought I’d touch up my skills a bit. And I finished it up with a Swedish green (Kolmårdsmarmor) marble frame. All painted in waterbased media’s. by @foffe84

This was my second panel that I finished at @salon.roma_2026 @decorativepaintingsalon hosted by my lovely friends @caterina_manisco_painter_decor and @stefanoluca_art The Vert de Mer marble in the centre was painted as a part of a tutorial for @fluggerofficial I finished it off with a quick frame of Grand Antique marble. by @foffe84

One of two panels I finished at Salon Roma 2026. Giallo Sienna panel with an Antique Breccia marble surround. by @foffe84

The close up session of my panel 😂. Throwing myself so far outside my comfort zone has really broadened my mind. We will never stop learning and evolving. Rhiannon what I really love with our trade! Thabkbyou so much @caterina_manisco_painter_decor and @stefanoluca_art for this milestone of Salon! Wow by @foffe84

✨ Client Spotlight ✨

This week, we’re shining a light on the incredible work of Kristoffer Hermansson (@foffe84), a Swedish decorative artisan based in London whose craftsmanship and attention to detail continue to impress us 🤩

Kristoffer specialises in marbling, woodgraining, trompe l’œil, and decorative painted finishes, combining traditional techniques with a refined contemporary eye ✨

Today, we’re featuring three recent panels that showcase his distinctive approach to depth, texture, and realism:

2️⃣ A Carrara-inspired centre panel with Grey Breche stiles and rails, elevated with beautifully executed trompe l’œil details
3️⃣& 4️⃣ A rich mahogany and trompe l’œil study exploring depth and layered decorative effects
5️⃣ A striking Portoro centre panel paired with Vert de Mer / Antique-style stiles, rails, and a Grand Antique-inspired baseboard finish

What makes Kris’ work even more impressive is that these finishes are all created using water-based medium, proving that traditional decorative effects can still be created using low VOC products creating refined, and incredibly realistic finishes whilst looking after our planet!

If you love traditional craftsmanship, painted finishes, and decorative artistry, his work is absolutely worth exploring ✨
