26-27 Henry Ford Boys Basketball Varsity and JV Schedule. Make sure you come out and support your Trojans all season! #Trojans #USovathem by @fordhighmbb

As I look back on my career, I can honestly say I have had a BLAST! But you never want to settle in life—you always strive for more, continue to grow, and look for new opportunities to make an impact.
In life, there is always a beginning and an end.
Twenty years ago, after Redford High School closed, I stepped foot into Henry Ford High School as a young pup, determined to become the best educator and coach I could be. During my tenure, I had the privilege of building one of the most successful and respected programs in the city and state. More importantly, I was blessed to build relationships and positively impact countless students, athletes, families, educators, and colleagues along the way.
Today, I officially close that chapter of my life.
This past basketball season, I stepped down from my position at Ford to accept an assistant coaching position at Schoolcraft Community College. Now, I will also be stepping down as Dean and Athletic Director as I begin my new role as Project Manager in the Office of Athletics for Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD).
In this new athletic administration role, I will have the opportunity to touch all aspects of athletics across grades K–12 throughout the district. I am excited about this next chapter and the opportunity to continue serving students, supporting coaches and educators, and helping strengthen athletics throughout DPSCD.
As this chapter closes, I want to sincerely thank every administrator, principal, teacher, coach, staff member, and—most importantly—the students I have had the privilege of working with over the past 20 years.
I am incredibly thankful for every relationship I have built, every lesson I have learned, every challenge I have overcome, and every memory I will carry with me. And while one chapter is ending, I know the relationships and connections will continue to grow.
DPS/DPSCD has been very special to me. It has been an incredible part of my life and career, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to serve this community.
Here’s to closing one chapter with gratitude and beginning another with purpose.

Words can’t express how grateful and ecstatic I am to be recognized as one of the greats to coach in our historical district. When I became a head coach in 2005 , I never thought last night would have ever happened but you never know gods plan. I appriciate the calls, texts and love from EVERYONE that came and supported me last night‼️

Just like that, our cross country season is over and done with. Great season fellas! Swipe to slide 3 to watch Tae hawk someone down to the finish line 💪🏾💪🏾 #Ford #Trojans by @fordhighmbb

Did our last cross country workout, and finished it with a meal together. I’m reminded of how much it means to be part of these young men’s lives. I don’t take for granted the opportunity to teach them how to navigate life, how to handle disappointment, face adversity, make the most of what you have and continuing to work toward their dreams and goals.

It’s not easy, but it’s about perseverance: preparing yourself and putting in the work to give yourself a chance to succeed. I love these young dudes, and I’m looking forward to a great season with them. #LetsHoop #Trojans by @fordhighmbb

Our players at Detroit Henry Ford High School need your support for uniforms, meals, transportation, equipment, off season league fees, and player development. This is bigger than basketball. It’s about giving our young people a team to lean on and a community that stands behind them. Every donation, shared message, and connection helps. Together, we can give our players the resources and opportunities. Thank you for making a difference! by @fordhighmbb

Huge shoutout and thank you to @ao1skills and @spalding for sponsoring Henry Ford Boys Basketball Team! The Henry Ford boys and girls basketball programs were both blessed by your gifts and support, and it’s truly appreciated.

I remember sitting in these bleachers listening to him give game and share his wisdom when he would come back from college and it’s a blessing to see him still uplifting communities and being a resource to these schools and the young men and women in them.

Thank you, Vern, for all the work you’re doing and including our program in that work. Much love and respect!

This what it’s all about! Some of the Players from 2015 State Finalist and 2016 State Champs showed up to give some game to the young pups who will become dawgs just like these guys did! This Trojan Family runs deep! The stories they told and the message they spoke to the guys will carry on for many years. @coachkflow I know you would have been proud to hear them speak the way they did. You taught us all well! ✊🏾 #Trojans #TheTrenches #Ford #Family by @fordhighmbb

The @fordhighmbb page is no longer being run by Coach Ken Flowers. Moving forward, this page will be operated by Henry Ford High School and the new Head Coach, Warren Jackson.
We want to wish Coach Flo nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors. His two decades of dedication, leadership, and unforgettable memories will forever be a part of the history and legacy of the Henry Ford basketball program. 🏀
Now, Coach Warren Jackson is up next, and he is already off to an amazing start as he takes the reins and leads the program into its next chapter.
Best of luck to Coach Jackson and the entire program! The work starts now. 💪🏾🏀
Let’s keep building, keep believing, and bring home another State Championship in the future! 🏆
