✨ WELCOME BACK TO THE FOREVER COUNTRY DANCE FEST 2026 MENTOR TEAM — TAYLOR JACKSON! We’re excited to welcome Taylor Jackson back to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as a Country Swing Mentor! 🤠🔥 Known for her fierce floor presence, fearless attitude, and competitive drive, Taylor brings an incredible combination of strength, style, and confidence to every dance floor she steps on! Taylor didn’t grow up dancing, but her background as an NPC bikini competitor gave her a foundation in discipline, strength, and body awareness. After discovering partner dancing in Dallas through traditional Two-Step and acro, she expanded into Country Swing in 2024 and quickly became a force to be reckoned with! And the championship titles started rolling in! 🏆 Taylor has earned numerous titles across CTST, Freestyle, Progressive, and Steals competitions, including championship wins at YESSS Dance Convention, Dallas Dance Fest, and Forever Country Dance Jam. Her versatility and fearless approach to competition have made her a standout in the country dance community. But what makes Taylor such an exciting mentor isn’t just her competitive success. It’s her passion for helping dancers push past fear, embrace their individuality, and develop the confidence to express themselves on the dance floor. Whether she’s competing, mentoring, or cheering on fellow dancers from the sidelines, Taylor brings an energy that’s impossible to miss! We’re thrilled to have Taylor Jackson returning to the Forever Country mentor team this November! Be sure to catch her mentor sessions, find her on the social dance floor, and get ready to bring a little extra confidence and attitude to your dancing! ❤️🔥 📆 November 20–22, 2026 📍 South Side Ballroom at Gilley’s Dallas | Dallas, Texas 🎟️ Get your Weekend Pass: ForeverCountryDanceFest.com by @forevercountrydancefest

✨ WELCOME TO THE FOREVER COUNTRY DANCE FEST 2026 STAFF — JACOB REDING! We’re excited to welcome Jacob Reding back to Forever Country as part of our Country Swing Instructor Team at Forever Country Dance Fest 2026! 🤠🔥 Jacob’s dance journey began with a life-changing night at Billy Bob’s Texas, where a former college and semi-professional baseball player discovered a passion that would take him from the ballfield to championship dance floors across the country! And what a journey it’s been! 🏆 With an incredible 37 CHAMPIONSHIP BELT BUCKLES, Jacob has earned National and World Championship titles across multiple country dance styles. His diverse background also includes experience as a professional ballroom instructor, competing in Advanced West Coast Swing, and performing in music videos for country artists Kevin Fowler, Josh Turner, and Midland! 🎶 Since relocating to Boise, Idaho, in 2023, Jacob has continued traveling across the country, teaching, performing, and sharing his knowledge with dancers of all levels. But beyond the championship titles and accomplishments, Jacob brings something equally valuable to the dance floor—a genuine passion for faith, community, and helping others grow. His approach to teaching goes beyond learning patterns and combinations, emphasizing confidence, connection, strong fundamentals, and the character that makes someone a great dance partner. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your Country Swing technique, expand your movement vocabulary, or take your dancing to the next level, Jacob brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to share! We’re thrilled to have Jacob Reding joining our Country Swing Staff at Forever Country Dance Fest 2026! Be sure to catch his workshops and find him on the social dance floor this November! 📆 November 20–22, 2026 📍 South Side Ballroom at Gilley’s Dallas | Dallas, Texas 🎟️ Get your Weekend Pass: ForeverCountryDanceFest.com by @forevercountrydancefest
🤠 LET’S TALK COUNTRY SWING! Country Swing is built on a 1-step timing system, using quicks and slows to match the music. 🎶 UNDERSTANDING THE TIMING ⚡ Quick = 1 beat 🐢 Slow = 2 beats Depending on the tempo of the song, measured in beats per minute, your basic rhythm will feel like: • Slower songs: Quick – Quick – Quick • Faster songs: Slow – Slow – Slow You may also incorporate syncopations, rhythm breaks, and combinations of quicks and slows for creative expression and musical interpretation, while maintaining the 1-step fundamentals as your baseline. 👢 THE 3 BASIC MOVEMENTS 1️⃣ Strike Forward: Both partners move forward. Leaders begin on the left foot, followers on the right. 2️⃣ ½ Turn / Pass: Partners pass and rotate around a shared center. 3️⃣ Rock Step Away: Partners transfer weight back to create momentum for the next movement. 🔄 THE 5 FUNDAMENTALS OF COUNTRY SWING 1️⃣ Rotating Orientation: Partners continuously change direction rather than remaining squared up. 2️⃣ Rock Step Away: Creates momentum and prepares the next movement. 3️⃣ Right-Side Passing: Most patterns are built around right-side passing. 4️⃣ Alternating Rotation & Footwork: Rotation and rock-step footwork alternate as the dance progresses. 5️⃣ Shared Center: BOTH partners travel and rotate around a shared center rather than one remaining stationary. 🎵 MUSIC & TEMPO Country Swing works best with music that has a strong, consistent beat. As the tempo changes, dancers adjust their footwork to stay connected to the rhythm. 🔥 THE BIG TAKEAWAY? Country Swing isn’t just about spins, tricks, and flashy moves. It’s built on timing, connection, rotation, and intentional movement from BOTH partners. Master the fundamentals, and everything else builds from there! 🤠 🗣️ WANT TO LEARN MORE? ✨ WELCOME TO THE FOREVER COUNTRY DANCE FEST 2026 MENTOR TEAM — ALEX HENSLEY! ✨ We’re excited to welcome Alex Hensley to Forever Country Dance Fest 2026 as a Country Swing Mentor! 🤠🔥 Based in Southern Missouri, Alex has been dancing for five years, spending the last three competing across multiple country dance styles. And if there’s one thing Alex loves, it’s a dance floor with a little bit of EVERYTHING! From Advanced Country Swing and Advanced Line Dance to Intermediate Progressive and Novice Two-Step (although he’s hoping that Novice title won’t stick around much longer! 😉), Alex brings a well-rounded competitive background and a genuine passion for country dancing. And Alex is certainly no stranger to the Forever Country family! ❤️ This November marks his FIFTH Forever Country event, and he’s never missed one! From the competitions to the social dancing and the friendships made along the way, Forever Country has consistently been home to some of his favorite dance weekends. Now, Alex is taking on a new role as part of our Country Swing Mentor Team, bringing his competitive experience, enthusiasm, and love for the community to dancers looking to grow their skills and confidence. For Alex, it’s about more than competition results. It’s about the friendships, the connections, and the shared love of dancing that keep bringing everyone back together. And he’s already looking forward to reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and sharing plenty of dances throughout the weekend. So if you see Alex on the dance floor, don’t be shy—go ask him for a dance! 🤠 We’re excited to have Alex joining our mentor team and can’t wait to welcome him back for his FIFTH Forever Country event! 📆 November 20–22, 2026 📍 South Side Ballroom at Gilley’s Dallas | Dallas, Texas 🎟️ Get your Weekend Pass: ForeverCountryDanceFest.com by @forevercountrydancefest
Like so many of you, we know what it feels like to simply want to fit in. To find your people. To walk into a room and feel like you belong there. To be surrounded by a community that builds you up instead of tearing you down, celebrates who you are instead of asking you to become someone else, and reminds you that there is still a whole lot of good in this world. That is where the “why” behind Forever Country comes from. Forever Country is more than boots, dancing, events, or anything we could ever put our name on. It was built on the belief that what we create should leave people, places, and communities better than we found them. At our core, we are dedicated to elevating the people around us, treating others with respect, leading with love, and helping create a community where people from all walks of life can find connection, confidence, and a genuine sense of belonging. And we get to do all of that through something we genuinely love: sharing the pride, joy, traditions, and values of the country western lifestyle that brought so many of us together in the first place. Forever Country is a community. It’s a way of life. It’s a commitment to something bigger than ourselves. And that’s why we do what we do. Always & Forever, Steven and Lacey 🤎 by @forevercountrydancefest
