Kenye Rollins' Grandma Sweet Potato Pie AVAILABLE NOW
POSTS STORIES REELS
I’m Kenye’ Rollins, a filmmaker from Silsbee, Texas, working to bring a project of my dreams to life. My proposed film Not Us is my way of speaking for the youth, the adults, and everyone in between who survived things they should’ve been shielded from. It’s socially urgent, spiritually important, and rooted in real stories from real people. Not Us means we don’t have to live as the world labels us. We don’t have to carry every scar like it’s our identity. We can decide: Not us — we write our own destiny. From Silsbee to the world. Let’s make this dream real. @canonusa #canonfirstcutcontest by @fosterfilm_

✨ ANNOUNCEMENT ✨ We’re officially in pre-production for our upcoming film Not Us, produced under A Foster Film in partnership with Ryhan Brown (Brownstone Productions) and in association with From The Heart Productions. Through our new fiscal sponsorship, Not Us is now registered under a nonprofit—meaning all donations toward this project are tax-deductible and will receive on-screen donor credit. This is the official jumpstart of our campaign, and we can’t wait to share how you can be part of bringing this vision to life. STORY: Not Us tells the powerful story of four teens from vastly different backgrounds whose paths collide inside a juvenile program. What begins as survival turns into a journey of healing, resilience, and truth—uncovering how the system often hides the real villain in plain sight. We’re beyond excited to share this vision with you as we work toward our planned June 2026 principal shoot. Stay tuned for updates, behind-the-scenes, and ways to support by following us on Instagram at @fosterfilm_ and through our upcoming official website. by @fosterfilm_
Truly honored to attend HBCU First Look Film Festival. While Grandma’s Sweet Potato Pie isn’t directly tied to our school, it is an HBCU-led project in every way from the cast, crew and of course me(the director). The HBCU/Black culture is rooted in the values, lessons, and traditions in this film. I’m beyond grateful to be a part of the National Student Filmmaker Challenge, and I’m looking forward to all that this event has in store — and maybe even a nomination along the way. 👀🙏🏾🎬 #HBCUFirstLook #StudentFilmmaker by @fosterfilm_
