There is so much to share from the intimate wedding we created in Mexico last week, and the five days of celebrations and activities. I’m a bit overwhelmed by the impact this wedding had on my heart, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to share a glimpse into what transpired because the beauty of the week extended far beyond anything my team and I could have ever created. Instead, the beauty was manifested by the immense amount of grace, love, kindness and joy that effortlessly flowed from the families we were creating for.This past week felt like a dream, and a reminder of what it’s really all about. This experience, this family and this couple will forever hold a piece of my heart.Can’t wait to see how @romavera_films and @imryanray documented all the beauty… until then, here’s a small glimpse of the wedding day I captured with my phone. Hi! It’s been awhile so I thought I’d say hello to our Instagram family since I know a few of you have been worried about us.The last few years I had been working around the clock at a pace that was not sustainable… so I did something about it.I intentionally took the summer off from weddings to be fully present with my family. I then impulsively deleted instagram off of my phone to ensure I wouldn’t waste this gift of time mindlessly scrolling. While declining all weddings during the busiest part of the season might not seem like the smartest move… it was truly the best thing I’ve ever done. We laughed, played, swam, traveled, created, baked, went on dates, rested, danced and lived life to its fullest. The night before school started Greyson asked me “Dad, can we please have more summers like this?” I sure hope so bud.I know some of you have been concerned… but truly I am the happiest, healthiest and most joy- filled version of myself that I’ve ever been. I have a refined focus, even bigger dreams, and a renewed realization for the purpose and calling on my life… which at the top of that list is loving and serving my wife and children well. So I’m staking firmer boundaries around this and feel driven to make sure they are the ones that get the best of me.To everyone who has sent a DM, text, or called directly to check in on us (including those of you who out of concern reached out to my friends, staff and community)… THANK YOU! Your thoughtfulness, love, and encouragement means so much.We are still over here creating… and look forward to sharing more soon. The best is certainly yet to come! Some celebrations feel especially meaningful—this surprise birthday party for Sarah is one of them.Sarah is the doctor who delivered all three of my children. What began as a doctor-patient relationship between her and my wife eventually grew into a friendship between our families built on a shared love of beauty, gathering people together, and celebrating life’s big and small moments.Several months ago, her husband Shahram called and asked if I’d help him plan a surprise party for her 50th birthday. He loves his wife deeply and knows her incredibly well. His vision was “Spring in Paris”—beautiful and abundant flowers, delicious food, Parisian music, Champagne and thoughtful details he knew would make Sarah feel celebrated. From there, he trusted me completely and gave me the freedom to just create.Watching Sarah walk into a room filled with the people who love her most was one of those moments I’ll never forget. The surprise. The joy. The laughter. It all felt like a dream.And somewhere in the middle of that evening, I was reminded why I started my company in the first place…Not just to design beautiful events, but to create moments that make people feel deeply loved, seen, and celebrated.Happy 50th, Sarah. What a gift it was to celebrate you the way you have celebrated so many others throughout your life. In the middle of a season that feels nonstop, I took my family to the city. Turns out that an afternoon of watching their eyes light up, hearing their laughter, dancing in the street and simply being present with my family was exactly what I needed. I was reminded that some of the most important moments happen when we choose to pause.And thank you @dolorispetunia for making these beautiful dresses for the girls. One year ago today in Costa Palmas, Mexico… and it still makes me emotional looking back on it all…I’m going to share more from this wedding in the coming days, but with today being Mother’s Day I thought I’d start here…with these videos I captured of @towle5.Over the years there has been a handful of people I’ve had the privilege of working with that have left a profound and lasting impression long after the wedding day is over… and this mom is one I’ll never forget for her joy…. grace…. kindness… warmth….intention… love for people…. encouragement and trust. She was a client that quickly became a treasured friend.Happy Mother’s Day to this beautiful mother, and to all the moms we have the privilege to walk alongside, serve and create for. A wedding that felt like stepping into a story…Set along the banks of the river in the outskirts of Charleston, and inspired by the timeless romance of Pride & Prejudice… every detail held a quiet elegance, a softness, and a sense of meaning that unfolded so beautifully throughout the day.But more than anything, this celebration reflected her… a bride full of joy, kindness, and warmth- the kind that leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets.It has been such a gift to walk alongside her family over the past year, planning, dreaming, designing and bringing this vision to life. What’s your favorite part of a wedding?I get asked this question a lot. While I love designing and creating beauty for my clients, that’s not my favorite part of our weddings.For me... it’s this moment right here…It’s the final minute before the much anticipated walk down the aisle. It’s the quiet and quick hustle to get the bride in place and perfected before I signal for the doors to open. It’s the privilege of serving my client one last time. It’s the deep trust and confidence the bride has in me, knowing I’ve got her… the kind of trust that allows her to be calm and fully present. It’s the rush of adrenaline and the deep satisfaction of seeing all of the months (sometimes years) of planning, dreaming and designing come to fruition. It’s knowing I’ve done my job well.This moment is what it’s all about for me… loving people and serving them well. For 23 years I have done this for every single one of our brides. It’s my favorite part of what we do and the very moment that encapsulates the heart of a Sinclair & Moore Wedding. by @sinclairandmoore
