the sunshine court (reread!) & the golden raven, nora sakavic; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

would u guys still fw me if i told u my favorite series was about college athletes who play a fake sport and are also on the run from the mafia?

i have not known what to do with myself since finishing the golden raven. it is simultaneously the happiest and most devastating book in this series, and watching jean try to heal from a lifetime of abuse and neglect is evoking emotions i didn't even know i possessed.

i love this stupid series so much and i apologize to anyone who has listened to me ramble about it because i simply don't know how to stop. blame nora idk. jean moreau will live in my soul until my dying days by @franallthewaydown

a fruitful #indiebookstoreday & end of lesbian visibility week💘 say hello to the lesbian gems i acquired today at my fav indie bookstores in chicago!! by @franallthewaydown

mansfield park; ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
definitely my least favorite in terms of enjoyment, but undeniably a masterpiece. mary crawford they could never make me hate you!!!

emma; ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
a much needed lift following MP, but it was definitely a struggle to give this my full attention bc of the emotional toll MP took on me🥴 but i tried!!! its just fun emma is so girl, mr woodhouse i am endeared to you forever

persuasion; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
most romantic austen book. point blank, PERIOD!!! no one be yearning like this anymore. just so beautiful and so clearly more mature. so glad to have finished this class on such a high note🌻 by @franallthewaydown

pride & prejudice, jane austen; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

little late to post but book no. 2 for jane austen class finished!

there is a reason this is considered a perfect novel!! jane austen isn't writing romance, but that is NOT to say the relationships aren't romantic!!! people are not yearning like fitzwilliam darcy anymore.

jane bennet,, my girl i will love you forever.. by @franallthewaydown

sense & sensibility, jane austen; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

first book for jane austen class finished!!!

oh god this was so good. elinor is so me i see you tortured oldest sister who keeps her pain to herself so as to not burden others. the ending was so lovely and endearing but you'll never convince me that elinor and colonel brandon weren't made for each other </33

not to jump the gun.. but i wouldn't be surprised if i finish this class and this is my favorite austen novel. sister dynamics you will always get me... by @franallthewaydown

the chase, elle kennedy; ⭐️⭐️⭐️

back on my bullshit!

yaaaaalllll idk. this was a lot of fun and i really liked the characters and the relationship but just... everything else? like for as many internal rants summer goes on about girl power! and girls supporting girls! i don't think this book even passes the bechdel test?

the book is still DRIPPINGGGGG with casual misogyny, which is something i've accepted about reading EK books, but can ms. kennedy not act like she actually cares about how women treat each other? idk like either rock the casual misogyny or actually put into play the feminism your characters allegedly care about.

whatever. eat the rich. by @franallthewaydown

happy new year yay i love being able to read💌

this was so fun!! i found it to be a genuinely compelling slow(ish) burn🫶🏻 i am number one kian fan i hope that sweet angel gets his own book... there were some bits of the writing that i didn't love but i enjoyed it enough to be SO excited for the next book!! also genuinely best heterosexual smut i've had to read in SO long

read this for my FIRST EVER BARNES & NOBLE DIVERSEY ROMANCE BOOK CLUB💓💘💓💖💞 thank u to all my beautiful friends who are excited for it and want to participate🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏻‍♀️ by @franallthewaydown

make the season bright, ashley herring blake; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

THIS JUST IN I CAN STILL READ

look. idk if i'm just biased because i genuinely haven't finished a book since october or because i'm so holly and jolly or sapphic privileged but this was just what i needed

it was sweet and swoony i love gay christmas i wish it was always gay christmas by @franallthewaydown

normal people, sally rooney; ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

at last!!!! after years of being a hater i finally caved and read a sally rooney book.... and i get it. the irish never fail me

my only issue is that i am not often compelled my straight people who dance around being together for no other reason besides an inability to communicate. i will say the way classism is woven into the story is so unique and i can't wait to read more from her! by @franallthewaydown

sula, toni morrison; 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

read for a class. totally not one of the most beautiful things i've ever read and will for sure not change the trajectory of my life probably by @franallthewaydown

captive prince, c.s. pacat; ⭐️⭐️⭐️

i have very little to say bc truthfully i have no idea what i just read. thoroughly excited for the rest of the series! by @franallthewaydown
