finally, we’re also FREE HOUSE. it all started with making fun little things for ourselves, gifts, drawing everything, traveling, and thinking “wouldn’t this be so fun to share with the world?” everyone needs something pretty in their lives, no matter how big or small, simple or extravagant - so that’s what we do. we make pretty things to find joy in. i certainly find joy while making them.

we’re also incredibly thankful for the freedoms we have (why free is in the name, not just because of our last name 😉) so from the very beginning we made a plan to give at least 10% of any profit we make to help veterans in any way we can.

maybe someday we’ll have a bigger shop for making and a shop (that’s not only online and pop-ups) for sharing our things with the world. a place where maybe people can come learn how to make something themselves. a place where people can come find joy, share ideas, build relationships, and feel welcomed. someday.

for now, thanks for sharing some of this online world with us.

for those of you who don’t know, we’re also architects. that’s part of why we love making so much because the lines we draw on a page mean something in the shop or on the job site. here are a few of our projects. we always love something new and different. see more projects at studiofreeby.com

as you have seen, we like to make things, we like to go on adventures. brent has a youtube channel [makethingsmt] and instead of starting a new page, we thought we would just combine all of our making.

check out his channel to see how we built our overland trailer, furniture, shop equipment, and our fall sabbatical trip through the deep south of the united states. be sure to like and subscribe!
