📸 Camera ready, prepare to flash – Fromage 2026

For the Blackbook of trainspotter Ibrahim Chalfant, I got the chance to work on a double-page spread. This time I chose color again instead of black and white.

In the bottom left, you can spot the trainspotter himself, wearing his iconic Kangol cap 😉 Word!

For this piece, I used watercolor and markers. It was a great project to work on in this well-filled blackbook.

The title is inspired by the track “Flash” by Green Velvet.

Title: Vintage Fromage 2026

Worked on another blackbook again.

This one was done in the blackbook of one of my longest friendships.

We grew up together in the same neighborhood in Amsterdam, played football together, caused some chaos in the city, and went on our first holidays together.

We also share the same passion for graffiti, and we took a lot of photos together around the city. We hadn’t seen each other for quite a while, but recently we met up again and it felt just like old vintage times. You had found your old graffiti photos and blackbooks again, and we shared some great memories.

Stay healthy, gap! This one is for you #graffiti #blackbookgraffiti #amsterdamgraffiti #fromagemvp #sketchbook by @fromage.mvp

Analog photo dump pt. 1

Starting things off with the first batch of scanned analog photos I shot myself.

This wall was painted together with Jake, Azhq, Character by Crone, Tunes and Fromage back in 2005. I honestly can’t remember which flat this was in the Bijlmer, but I’m pretty sure the comments will sort that out quickly.

Love how these old film shots bring everything back to life. #amsterdamgraffiti #bijlmerflatgraffiti #fromagemvp #graffiti #amsterdam by @fromage.mvp

Sometimes I just start.
No sketch, no plan, no idea where it’s going. Just a black pen and letting it do its thing.

And yeah… things go wrong.
Letters that don’t quite connect.
Shapes that start to annoy me halfway through.
Lines that completely go the wrong direction.

But that’s usually where the interesting stuff happens.

These 10 designs all came out of a flow. Just continuing, reacting to whatever happens on the paper, and letting mistakes become part of the process instead of fighting them. Sometimes the magic is in the unexpected.

Which one is your favorite? 👀 #blackbookgraffiti #amsterdamgraffiti #sketchbook #unipen #fromagemvp by @fromage.mvp

Analog graffiti photos.

Literally found these in an old shoebox: a stack of mostly Amsterdam graffiti photos from the period between 2002 and 2006, with a few dating back to the ’90s.

Among them was also a silver Zap blockbuster under the Vondelbrug, with my old black Gilera Citta parked in front of it.

Need to properly scan them soon. There are many more hidden gems in the collection. #amsterdamgraffiti #graffiti #graffitiphotography #fromagemvp by @fromage.mvp

Blackbook page for the great @fromage.mvp ‘The sharp edge of town’. Alleys, abandoned buildings, industrial areas, bridges and underpasses. It’s those places where most writers feel at home. Sometimes spooky, often filthy but i’ll take them over any stupid hall of fame anyday.. #blackbookgraffiti #mvpcrew #nescrew #stylewriting @mvplayerz by @fromage.mvp
