GrandMA3 sequences contain an off cue, which holds a lot of its own data including:
- fade/delay time when you turn it off
- trigger, allowing you to have it turn off after another cue or when you press go
- command, for when you need something to happen when you turn the sequence off

Did you know you can access universes in a pool in GrandMA3? There's a lot of handy indicators there too – but I especially love that you can move all the fixtures in a universe at once through the pool!

There are so many neat little things in the MA3 UI that just make life easier! I love how the executor displays on screen light up when you touch the faders, so you can clearly see which one is affected.

What's the practical difference between temp and master fader functions on GrandMA3?
What if you want to be able to add white with the fader and do a hit with the same sequence?

Yes, this is an older reel from when I was working at Social Dallas with @ecpdfw! Got a few of those not yet posted :)

Our pre-rig truss bars were inverted – just opposite of how they were when they were programmed. Without recipes, this would have been a much more complex process to fix, but with recipes, it was fast and simple.

So yeah, program with recipes!! If this is a topic you struggle to understand, check out my YouTube videos on recipes for a detailed look at how they work and how to use them!

Put a little olive oil on your bruises! What bruises? Legit!
Try it! We certainly get enough bruises working with heavy production equipment and road cases as we do – so obviously I had to share my knowledge with you!

V2.5 also made it so much easier to edit the cues like this because it auto-names them with the group and preset names! The selection column isn't pinned when you scroll right in the recipe columns, but name is, so I could still see which ones were the group I was looking for!

By the way, the reason I needed to change the fade time to 0 because of the color wheel value is because letting it try to fade it was causing it to scroll through the colors!
In hindsight, I could have changed the attribute to snap in the patch, but that's a video for another day, and this was still a great example!
