"The Farmer"

Finished 6.6.26
9x12" acrylic on canvas paper

Codename: "The Farmer"

Been a long time since I painted something from the amazing turn-based strategy game XCOM, but 1 time while I was painting I had on in the background a content creator @christopherodd who plays XCOM and he read the bio of a soldier named "The Farmer", who's family was killed, farm destroyed during the alien invasion, but when XCOM operatives happened upon him, he was driving off the invaders with his family's combine, and I thought "Well, I need to see that."

I remember seeing Godzilla: King of the Monsters and when King Ghidorah destroyed Fenway Park, I thought "It's a shame that wasn't Philadelphia", so here he is ruining their sports complex.

Burning of the Goatmen: 10 Year Anniversary Edition
Finished 2.27.25, 9x12" acrylic on canvas paper

My 10 year anniversary of painting as a hobby, I returned to my 1st original fantasy art piece, The Burning of the Goatmen, and reworked the concept but kept some elements.

Inspired from a moment in the original Diablo where a clan of goatmen, ruining the water supply of a local village, were all burned out of existence with an inferno spell, their horrible screams echoing simultaneously off the cave walls.

Kool-Aid Man Kills the Hero from Berzerk

Finished 1.17.25
9x12" acrylic on canvas paper

Kool-Aid Man's unexpected intrusion into the maze world of classic arcade/Atari game Berzerk drives the startled hero backwards into the electrified wall, his convulsing body contracts his finger around the trigger and fires off 1 last blast. Insert coin to continue.

The Glass and Watermelons
Finished 6.9.24 4x12" acrylic on canvas

Didn't realize I hadn't posted this, but earlier this year my wife's goddaughter asked me "Can you paint the scene in Wayne's World 2 when he crashes through the glass and hits the watermelons?"

I loved this request for like 17 different reasons so I happily did so. In reviewing the scene, there were also chickens.
