Hey y’all, I’m Kinslee and welcome to Fuel With Kins!!

Since I can remember, I’ve been that girl who always had a lunchbox in hand. It started because I hated school lunches, but it’s stuck with me all the way into college life. Now as a collegiate athlete constantly running between classes, practices, and work, my lunchbox has basically become part of my personality! I have learned how to fuel on the go and want to share that with others who may struggle to find ideas on how to do so with a crazy schedule or busy lifestyle!

Over the years, my passion for fueling has grown from simple convenience into something much deeper. I’ve spent most of my life dealing with stomach issues that no doctor could explain, so I learned early on to pay attention to how food made me feel. Whole foods and anti-inflammatory meals became my safe space. Eventually, a doctor discovered that my gallbladder was barely functioning just over a year ago(hello endless scans 🙃), and once it was removed, I began a whole new journey of figuring out how to fuel my body without one of my digestive organs that played a more important role than I thought.

Now, stepping into my 4th year of college and diving deeper into studying nutrition, I’m ready to share what I’ve learned with y’all! On here you’ll find weekly meal preps, pre-practice fuel, recovery meals, and gut-friendly ideas that keep me feeling my best. And because fueling isn’t just about food, you’ll also see the occasional workout, meet-day routine, or day-in-the-life too!

Excited to share this journey! 😊🩷 by @fuelwithkins

With a super busy schedule and long days, quick and easy meals are my go-to! I love sheet pan dinners because all I have to do is choose a protein (usually chicken sausage), toss in a few chopped veggies, drizzle with olive oil, add seasonings, and bake at 420° for 30–40 minutes. Dinner is ready and I’ve got meals prepped for the next four nights! by @fuelwithkins

This week I’m fueling my mornings with Breakfast Burritos!🌯

These are one of my go-to breakfast meals for busy days full of classes and practices — balanced with protein, carbs, and healthy fats to keep me fueled.

Nutrition (per burrito):
~300 calories | 20g protein | 15g carbs | ~15g fat

Meal Prep Tips:
Wrap each burrito in foil or parchment paper and store in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer. I kept 5 out for the week and froze the rest for future grab-and-go breakfasts. Just reheat for 1–2 minutes in the morning and you’re good to go! by @fuelwithkins

My go-to recovery drink after a tough workout ⬇️

8 oz Tart Cherry Juice
8 oz Coconut Water
1/2 cup Water
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Salt

This is my staple during fall training when I’m sweating a ton in the heat and training harder than when I am in season. Instead of grabbing a Gatorade or pre-made electrolyte drink I typically make this if I have everything on hand! Some people even call this “Natures Gatorade”

Why it works:
🍒Tart Cherry Juice: helps reduce inflammation, muscle soreness, and it is packed with natural antioxidants

🥥Coconut Water: natural electrolytes (especially potassium)

🧂Salt: replenishes sodium lost in sweat

🍯Honey: quick carbs to refuel glycogen stores by @fuelwithkins

Grab-and-go breakfast made EASY

Egg bites are one of my favorite morning staples! I usually pair them with a banana or overnight oats to get in that perfect mix of protein + carbs to keep me fueled until lunch. Each one has about 8g of protein (and you can easily boost that by adding things like high-protein cottage cheese or turkey sausage)

The recipe blends everything together for convenience, but if you stir in veggies or mix-ins instead, they turn out even more flavorful!

Tip: Portion them out in baggies of 2 for a quick grab on busy mornings, you’ll thank yourself later! by @fuelwithkins
