The BIGGEST issue in college sports today? COMPLIANCE. Reports suggest up to 10 Power Four programs are under investigation for potentially circumventing NIL rules. Here's the question every Business Athlete needs to ask: Who on YOUR team is making sure the contract you're about to sign is compliant? The rules are ever-changing. The money is growing. And the risks are real. Getting the deal is important. Understanding the deal, following the rules, and protecting your future is even MORE important. Business Athletes don't just chase opportunities. They protect them. by @fullbackoffinance
Is this the Greatest Business Athlete Starting 5 of all time? by @fullbackoffinance
Two NFL legends told me something that goes against everything I teach. Go ALL IN on Plan A. Forget Plan B. I thought they were CRAZY... but maybe they have a point? Does having a Plan B actually hold you back? Watch the video and tell me who's right! 👇️ by @fullbackoffinance
NEVER hire a financial advisor before understanding what a FIDUCIARY is! A fiduciary is legally obligated to put YOUR best interests ahead of their own. But here's the catch... not every financial professional operates under the same obligation at all times. I use a simple example to teach pro athletes what being a fiduciary really means. 📽️ WATCH before you hand someone your money! by @fullbackoffinance
18 CATCHES. $18 MILLION.🤯 That's $1 MILLION per NFL catch! Undrafted Cowboys TE Brevyn Spann-Ford had just 18 catches in two seasons, yet reportedly earned a 3-year, $18M extension! WHY? Because the box score didn't show his value. His Job #1 wasn't catching passes. It was blocking, doing the dirty work, and solving problems. Business Athlete lesson: STATS get ATTENTION. SOLVING PROBLEMS gets you PAID. #BusinessAthlete #FullbackOfFinance #NL #DallasCowboys by @fullbackoffinance
I scored on a HOF and got pranked by a HOF! After scoring, I cradled the football as a shoutout to my 6-month old daughter. But Monday MAIL DAY in the NFL, when fines arrive in your locker. And there is was... $11,025 FINE for using the football as a prop?!? Was it real? Or the ultimate NFL prank by my teammates?? 📽️ Watch to find out! #NFLStories #NFL by @fullbackoffinance
NIL deals don't have to just pay the athlete! Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss partnered with Mama Justice Law Firm to create $225,000 in scholarships over the next 5 years. The athlete brings the ATTENTION. The business brings the CAPITAL. Together, they create COMMUNITY. That's what being a Business Athlete is all about. Your value isn't just what you can earn. It's the impact you create! #BusinessAthlete #FullbackOfFinance by @fullbackoffinance
The SECRET of the wealthy: They don't always own assets personally. They CONTROL them. The Buss family recently sold majority ownership pf the LA Lakers but retained roughly 18%. Here's where it gets interesting... That ownership is help through a Trust. Now family members are disputing who has the authority to sell, with a reported two-thirds voting provision clashing with Jeanie Buss's claim of final control. Here's the lesson: A TRUST isn't just about passing down wealth. It's about writing the RULES for who controls it. Who makes the decisions? Who has the power? What happens when you're gone? Building wealth is one game. Controlling your legacy is another. Speak Money. Act Wealthy. Build Legacy. #FullbackOfFinance #BusinessAthlete by @fullbackoffinance
The Genuis contract clause Sadiq Bey negotiated. The New Orleans Pelicans recently gave Bey a $55.5 Million extension. But the smartest part? A trade kicker. If the Pelicans decide to trade him, Bey could receive an additional bonus of up to 15% of his remaining salary. Think about that. If the team changes its mind, the player gets compensated. Business Athletes: Don't just negotiate how much you get paid. Negotiate what happens when things change! That's thinking like a Business Athlete. by @fullbackoffinance
The secrets to investing I learned from football. There are 3 ways to move the ball in football and 3 ways to grow your money. 1. RUN GAME = BONDS Small, steady gains. Control the clock and manage risk. 2. PASS GAME = STOCKS Bigger potential gains, but more risk of interceptions. 3. SPECIAL TEAMS = ALTERNATIVES Real estate, crypto, commodities. Different ways to make a big play. The secret? You need a game plan, not just big plays. Business Athletes: How are you building your financial playbook? #FullbackOfFinance #BusinessAthletes #Football&Finance by @fullbackoffinance
Is this B.S. or just Business? Remember when college athletes couldn't profit from selling their jerseys? Now 50+ universities are reportedly selling AD SPACE on those same jerseys! Why? Attention is an asset. Businesses' pay for eyeballs, and college football delivers millions. But if universities profit from the jerseys, shouldn't the athletes wearing them get a piece? Welcome to the Business of Sports! #FullbackOfFinance #BusinessAthletes #CollegeFootball by @fullbackoffinance
🥞 The most OFFENSIVE NIL deal I've ever seen! Offensive lineman, that is! Drew Bobo recently partnered with Cracker Barrel to become the VP of Pancake Communications. Known for his pancake blocks, this Business Athlete just turned his ACTIONS into INCOME. Start asking, "What do I do that brands would want to be a part of?" He's even petitioning to make pancake blocks an official football stat! #FullbackOfFinance #BusinessAthlete #CollegeFootball #NIL by @fullbackoffinance
