Our 10th and final Ride for Matt – Funken Cruise was one for the books! This year, we raised an incredible $15,446.88, making it our biggest fundraising year yet. Over the past 10 years, we’ve raised a total of $85,317.13 in Dad’s memory. 🥹

Hospice Wellington holds such a special place in our hearts, and being able to give back to an organization that supported our family makes this all the more meaningful.

To everyone who has been part of this journey — our family, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came out to support us — THANK YOU. Your generosity and support have helped make the past 10 years something truly special. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Dad, I wish you could see what this has grown into. What started as a way to honour your memory and your passion has brought so many people together while making a difference in our community. I hope you’re proud, because we sure are. ❤️

All in your memory, Dad. Forever loved, never forgotten. ❤️

The 10th and Final "Ride For Matt" Funken Cruise had it's biggest year ever for fundraising!

Hospice Wellington is so proud of the efforts of the entire Funkenhauser circle of family and friends who have come together over the past 10 years to raise awareness and funds for our charity.

This year the event raised an incredible $15,446.88 through donations, the BBQ, raffles, and other fundraising. Thank you to everyone involved with this year's event.

In addition, we are pleased to announce this event has raised a total of $85,317.13 over the last 10 years.

Thank you to Sarah and Carolyn for coming in yesterday for the annual tradition of doing our cheque presentation to celebrate another successful Funken Cruise. We know Matt would be so proud of everyone's efforts in celebrating his passion while giving back to your community.

IT’S FUNKEN CRUISE DAY!
Today we’re celebrating 10 years of Ride for Matt, and what better way to kick things off than celebrating this incredible crew!

Sarah and Carolyn from the Funkenhauser family proudly accepting their Circle of Care Champion Award, alongside David and Lillian, two of our amazing Hospice Wellington volunteers.

A beautiful moment that brings together family, community, cars, and a whole lot of heart.

And the Funken Cruise crew has raised to date an incredible $73,969.71 and counting!

Now let’s fire up those engines, hit the road, and ride for Matt!

If you’re participating in the cruise, please follow the signs as well as signs when entering the event parking lot.
If you’re walking in, parking is available in front of the Optimist Centre.
