Man… @sagev44 , seeing that video really did my heart good.

Back in the Nacho House days in Vegas, we were all just outside together living life, dancing, laughing, listening to music and building community. You were always showing love and support, and honestly I don’t think any of us realized back then how long those memories and that music would travel.

So seeing you out in Hawaii all these years later, riding around with one of my mixes playing in the car? That genuinely touched me. From Cali to the islands, the fact that you still listen to me almost a decade later means more than you probably know.

As DJs we spend so much time throwing music out into the universe and you never really know who’s still carrying it with them years later. That little video reminded me that somebody’s out there listening, vibing, remembering, and that means everything to me.

Thank you for always supporting me then and now, brother. Real love.

Aloha always,
@erinblackirish . 🤙🏾🫶 by @funkinsoullv

25 years ago this weekend, I made a life changing decision.

I moved back home to DC from New Jersey.

The journey has been an amazing one ever since.

From Local Washingtonian Bartender & DJ, to 14 years a Casino Bartender & DJ on the Las Vegas Strip, I always look back on that one choice I made as the catalyst for the shower of blessings in my life that have come in so many different forms.

This 25th anniversary of that Memorial Day weekend, I choose to honor my DC friends and family because without each of your interaction, encouragement, advice, scolding, and overall love, I couldn’t be where I am today.

I thank you.

I celebrate you.

It’s been a wonderful 25 years with all of you, and I wish for MANY more!

It proves you can always come home!

Happy 35th anniversary of DC Black Pride!!!
