⚔️ Midknight from Rune: The Tale of the Obsidian Maze turn around!

I've been working on this turn around forever! I love this character design and I wanted to share it with you in 360° 😁

I would love to make a toy or something out of this character someday! Any ideas on how? by @g_haller

Hi! 🍰 I made this illustration for @ilustrator_festiwal contest 🌻

Philoberta is a delivery witch, she doesn't like cinamon and her favourite thing to do is collecting little seashells🐚

This drawing is a redrawing of a piece that I made in 2018! Slide to see a zoom in and the original art!

What version you like more? 2018 or 2025?

☃️ Happy New Year! ✨

Last month, I designed a bookplate for Rune: The Tale of the Obsidian Maze 📖

I had a few discarded sketches that I made for the book cover, so I picked one of them and built this new design around it ✨

I hope you’ll like it! 💖

This week I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in the Edinburgh International Book Festival, and it was incredible! Thank you so much @edbookfest ! Edinburgh is such an amazing city, we’re already dying to go back ✨

We were there presenting Rune 3, chatting about the process behind creating stories and diverse characters with real depth, and so much more!

We even designed "Bob" live during the event, a snail-like creature carrying a castle with a rock band on its back 🐌🎸🏰 🤣 we also signed a ton of copies of Rune! 🌟

Huge thanks to @edbookfest and @flyingeyebooks for making it happen!

And many thanks to Linda for signing the talk and to Hongyi Zhou for making this cool photo! 👌✨️ by @g_haller

🦆 The Siren! Gel pens and Watercolor paper.
She looks cute, but she is extremely dangerous!

📖 Rune: The Tale of the Winged Sorceress by Carlos Sánchez

With Dai missing, Chiri is desperately rallying her fellow adventurers on a quest to find him. But with the darkness creating a fearsome army of creatures and planning on total domination of the kingdom, finding her best friend is starting to feel impossible. With another dark herald hunting Chiri down, it’s going to take every drop of magic she can summon to protect the friends she has left – and find the one she’s lost.

✏️ To celebrate the release of RUNE: The Tale of the Winged Sorceress, creator Carlos Sánchez has given us a sneek peek into where it all started, his sketchbooks! 🔍️

Swipe to see early designs for familiar faces like Chiri and Dai, and sketches from the early development of the RUNE stories, (which were once called Mochi!)

Rune: The Tale of the Winged Sorceress is finally out! 🥳 thank you @flyingeyebooks and @niamhetc for giving me a chance to be a part of your team and help @g_haller with the colour 🌈

In this video I show you some of the pages that were the most fun to colour, hope they don’t contain too many spoilers of the story 🙊 😉

Hi! Here’s a new colored sketch 😊

@stfurczosc said she looked like Fern from Frieren, so I decided to color her hair the same shade (@stfurczosc doesn’t really like Fern, but I personally like her annoying personality).

Hope you like it! ✨️

In this morning’s BOOK CLUB we celebrated the 3rd in the brilliant award-winning RUNE middle-grade graphic novel series by Carlos Sánchez @g_haller published @flyingeyebooks (🛍️ available in-store and on our website now)

We were all chatting so excitedly about the whole RUNE series then spending so much time at the crafting table doing all the activities and chatting about the latest in this favourite bestselling series with a deaf protagonist, our ideas for the origin story of pillowgoats, our shared passion for graphic novels, Star Wars, manga, and more!!

The most awesome moment happened when ⭐️Carlos Sánchez⭐️ sent messages live during the book club to all the children as he was so impressed with the photos of their drawings I DM’d him. Thank you Carlos - you made your super fans super happy 💗

Before we knew it it was already 30mins over the book club finish time. What a magical morning ✨

… made extra special as the publisher had sent RUNE bookmarks, and had kindly given me some signed limited edition numbered prints too 🎉 Thank you so much!!

Can’t wait for book 4 already!! Fingers crossed Carlos is able to visit us one day 🥹
