After averaging 17,000+ steps per day carnival week and doing 45,000+ steps on carnival Sunday, this body NEEDED a break 😅.

I take my rest so seriously, which means I work hard, play hard and recover hard to make sure we can do it all over again for Crop Over. Officially inside again until summer (except when I'm not 🤭). by @gabsi77

A little bit of the creative process 🧵🪡

The pattern was from @edgewaterave and I almost bought this pattern again, completely forgetting that it was gathering dust in my Google drive.

With just over 24 hours to go (and no back up plan 🙃), I printed out the pattern and cut the fabric to match. I still have some pink swimsuit fabric left over from my Trinidad makes last year, so I used that as the lining and my @genxsjamaica Immortals shirt as the outer fabric.

Based on my measurements and the Edgewater Ave sizing chart, I was a small, but I knew I wanted a deeper neckline so I used the extra small cut there. For the right fabric that would've been perfect, but the GenXS shirt only stretched horizontally, so to compensate I probably should've gone with a medium length so it would be a tupse longer.

But overall, I'm a fan, the monokini was a hit and I'll definitely be making this one again.

No slick transitions, no gimmicks, just me on my favourite day of the year, jamming to my favourite song for 2025 💖🤸🏽‍♀️✨.

In love with this fresh, barely there makeup look on @gabsi77. 💕 Glowy skin, lots of light and bright pink flush on the cheeks and lips.

Confession time... I've never really been into sports or what you'd consider traditional exercise, so gym has never really been my thing.

But I also know strength training is important for longevity and bone health, as well as supporting me in all the things I actually love to do.

Pilates gives me control, mobility, stability and greater bodily awareness, while strength training helps protect my joints and makes me stronger for side quests like aerial and dragon boating ☺️.

So while I may never be the kinda girl that loves leg day, I'm gonna suck it up and get the job done! 💪🏽

Nothing like a little pre-travel panic sew to get the adrenaline pumping ☺️.

Never mind that I've had this fabric sitting down since my London trip in 2022 🙈 (thanks @libertyfabrics), it was finally time to put it to good use.

Decided to do a quilted tote, and used a thin sponge instead of the typical batting in-between the outer and inner layer of fabrics. If you travel light for your personal item, then this the perfect bag. But, if you're an absolute overpacker and your personal item pretty much counts as a third piece of luggage, this one's not the bag for you.

The bag itself wasn't that difficult to make, I found a few bandana bags on tiktok and took inspiration from those and then made my own version of it. The most tedious part was probably trying to get the quilting lines evenly spread across the fabric, so I've since ordered a walking presser foot with a quilting guide to make it that much easier the next time.

Kinda chic the way you've all supported me since I started teaching full time a year ago 💖✨.

Happy anniversary to me🧁🥹. by @gabsi77

When life gets busy, I have to be so much more intentional about making time for recovery, not just physically but mentally as well. Taking a time out to reset and check in with the body is key to managing my body and making sure I don't burn out. 🧘🏽‍♀️✨ by @gabsi77

Might need a weekend to recover from my weekend 😅. Not pictured here, hours of dance rehearsal for next week's shows 🧑🏽‍🩰. by @gabsi77

No trending audio, two musical theatre soundtracks and a frantic binge sew the morning of my photoshoot 😅.

After leaving NDTC's show at around 10:30pm, I decided I was going to go home and make a dress for my 10am photoshoot 🙃. Actually started working on the piece about 11:30pm, Putus brought me some food, and humoured me while I talked to myself working out how I was going to put this all together and still go to bed at a decent hour.

At about 2:30am it was 85% done so I went to bed leaving the hem unfinished until morning so Putus could cut it more evenly (to the height of the heels I intended to wear) while I stood still in said heels. Finished hemming at 9:18am, showered, got dressed, found out we were gonna shoot barefoot at 9:35am and then left and made it to the theatre by 10:02am.

Anyways, I'm obsessed with her! Now I just need somewhere real to wear it💃🏽.

Thanks @zhanepadmore for that last clip ☺️📹! by @gabsi77

A little throwback to the launch of @yogaangelsintl oasis launch at the beginning of July. Got to spend some time in the aerial room just flowing and finding movement that feels good in my body.

Binge sewing for the win!! Nothing like vacation adrenaline to make you sew an entire wardrobe before the trip 😅.

About half of these were made for this trip, along with some other things I didn't end up wearing...so with another trip in a couple weeks, time for another binge!
