Ciao, I’m Silvia. 🤍
Since some of you have asked who I am and, most importantly, who Gaia actually belongs to, I thought it was finally time to step out from behind the scenes and introduce myself. I live in New York, where I’m already a dog mom to two Westies and a Chihuahua. 🐾 My mom lives in Florence, and Gaia was my gift to her, a little way of helping us feel closer despite the distance. These photos and videos are from the day I went to pick Gaia up, just before surprising my mom with her. 🤍 Which technically makes me Gaia’s sister. 😂🐾 Gaia is my mom’s dog, and the two of them are and always will be the real stars of this account. I’m simply the one behind the scenes, sharing their moments, their story, and a little piece of our life together. And while Gaia belongs to my mom, I’m a dog mom too, here in New York, to two Westies and a Chihuahua. So yes… dogs are pretty much a family affair around here. 🐾🤍
That’s it. This is our story… it’s lovely to finally meet you.

My life, with a dog by my side. 🐾(🇮🇹nei commenti)
My story with dogs began in 1992, when I was 16, with two mixed-breed dogs I adopted from the shelter where I volunteered for over ten years.
They both came from very difficult pasts. With us, they got a second chance. A new life. And maybe that’s where it all began.
Then life took me away from Italy, but dogs continued to be part of every chapter. My two Westies came along, followed by our Chihuahua.
Today, in 2026, the three of them are here with me in New York. And then there’s Gaia, across the ocean in Italy. Far away for now, but part of the same story. And I can’t wait to hold her again. ❤️
And then there’s Ginger. She deserves a chapter of her own.
She joined our family while we were living in England and was with us for only one year. A health condition took her from us far too soon.
One year may seem like such a short time. But sometimes it doesn’t take a lifetime to leave a mark that lasts forever. Ginger gave me everything in that one year. 🤍
Looking at this timeline, I realized something: since 1992, I can barely remember a version of my life without a dog by my side.
And you? How old were you when your first dog came into your life?
If you’d like, tell me in the comments. Or even better, share a photo of you with your very first dog. 🐾🤍
🇮🇹 Italian version in the first comment.

La felicità non ha stagione. 🌊❤️

🇺🇸 We definitely failed this trend! 😂 Luna threw in the towel before even stepping onto the mat, while the other two, Mira and Lulu, clearly had better things to do… 🥋🤣 But we had so much fun! We decided to put our own spin on this challenge, behind-the-scenes chaos included! Thank you, Michela and Cookie, for challenging us and for making me laugh every single day! 🧡
