India made me to find me.🧡 by @gaiafiolcina

Viime päivinä oon istunut ja pyörinyt tanssisalien lattialla tutkimassa DTB eli Dance to beat -tekniikan lappuja ja hankkinut koko kehon täyteen mustelmia. Aika hakattu mut pehmee olo.

✨ by @gaiafiolcina

It’s my birthday today 🧚🏼💫🦋 Sharing some random little facts about me that I havent done before, because I like to keep my life quite private. But little things here I felt like sharing :)

And same in English:

I was born in Turku, but grew up in Northern Karelia. I’ve been moving many times in my life that can’t really say where I’m from. I have lived twice in NZ and it will always be one of my homes.

My dad was occultist magician and mom her own special character so I learned very young that there’s many ways to see the world and there’s some magic in it.

During my childhood I got to try and be creative.

I grew up in a big family. I learned to appreciate shared things and dinners, time together. Laughing, going with wild hair and played a lot outside. I had many wild ideas and sister Fei got to be my partner in crime.

I was into art and natural sciences already very young. I did art school and tried all possible options to make art as possible from ceramics to silk painting. In high school I thought I would become an artist. I did diploma, received even stipend when graduating. I failed one week long University exams and life took other direction. I watched Natgeo and Attenborough was my idol. I also loved music videos and that’s also probably been one of the influences for me to do movies and dokumentaries later in life.

I’ve always wanted to do many things and express myself. The creativeness been the main thing. Only struggling to have time for everything!

I might not become volcanologist or physicist, but maybe I’ll design ecological underwear collection and do couple of other visions for real.

I became an entrepreneur 2018 and my current Oy company is my second one. Being entrepreneur has always been my calling and I think it’s best way for me to do with my own rules. Made mistakes, learned, tried again! And still choosing this way again. I plan new ideas all the time so maybe one day something new is cooking?

My first pet was a fightfish called Pekka and I also had a cat called Nipsu. I was the one who decided he’s Pekka!

I’m a huge animal lover and there’s special connection with horses and cats.

Forever grateful and keeping this experience in my heart ❤️ Completing 300h advanced teacher training with @danielrama_ and @_inversioness was an incredible experience and got lucky to share it with all these 30 amazing souls, while creating this inspiring community together 🫶🏼

This journey made me officially 500h+ yoga teacher, something that was my plan since my time in India 2018 when I completed my first teacher training. Well it is longer journey that never truly ends.

This experience reminds me that be yourself and right energy will meet you. Yoga is a sort of common language and we understand each other through the movement and philosophy. There’s so much to process and reflect after this.

I found yoga 2008 and first I hated it. But funny it never left me! After India 2018 I moved to NZ and started teaching, then decided to focus on filmmaking, found climbing etc life happened. Slowly started moving off from yoga. And then 2023 everything crashed in my life. The turning point I started showing up on my mat again.

2023 I was in a deep place and I ate depression medicine. I lived too long in a toxic place that took time to recover: I went through a break up, no home, moved to a van, then had to sell the van, I had no work and all that struggle with financial things put my company and mindset under pressure. I had no energy to do anything, I let things drop down. My body was overloaded and got injury in my shoulder. The distraint was final moment when I felt like there’s no future as I had to forget all my plans and also yoga related studies, that I already then wanted to do in Thailand. It was moment I had to accept things and felt a relief: life put me where I had to be.
I found motivation when I spontaneously started massage school: even without money this gave me a reason to be in Finland and learned things that would take me somewhere. Started to heal and feeling wild, creative sparkling me yayyy!

Long way, I studied and worked hard to do this ❤️ Feeling proud of this!

Not only new skills, this was more than that: community sharing same interest, talks, inspiration where to continue next: I will keep the mindset of a beginner. Thank u all! 💫 by @gaiafiolcina
