I am grateful to see my textile mural TREE OF LIFE II featured in the latest Elle Decoration Magazine! When I sent the work to Paris for the photoshoot (which again was one of those beautiful moments you never forsee), I never expected it to stay there! But it it did! In one of my favorite cities in the world it found its new home!

@ad_magazine COLLECTOR issue Nr.32/2025

I am really grateful to be featured with my textile mural in the latest issue of AD Magazine. It means a lot to me as an artist that my work is recognized and valued by professionals and people I personally admire! Thank you, dear @sarahdebeaumont !

KARLA ERDE
It has been exactly one week since that sunny, cold autumn day when our baby girl joined the family. 24/10/2026, to be precise, with a view on the Venetian waters.
A true Venetian from birth… mystical, more quiet than loud, feminine from her very first breath!
We took her home by gondola, in the loving arms of her dear Papa… surrounded by joy, every day excitement and can’t wait to have all of our kids home for Christmas. There will be 5 of them this year! What an adventure! What a team we are! by @gaiapilens

TWO MAJOR MURALS will be shown on the opening of “WHAT REMAINS” tomorrow, Aequo Gallery Paris

20th October, 2026 by @gaiapilens

A first glimpse of What Remains, opening on 20 October at Æquo Paris. From textile mural to embroidery: this work marks a transition between Santa Gaia Pilens’ earlier practice and a full series developed with embroiderer Shaikh Tajahar Kader, in Mumbai. Rendered in thread, the bird remains a central presence in her imagery, a figure of migration and transformation, carrying the memory of one place into another.

WHAT REMAINS
OPENING 20/10/2026 @__aequo__ PARIS
48 RUE MAZARINE, PARIS by @gaiapilens

Since I met you, there have been only a handful of days when we haven’t been surrounded by babies and kids — and with the next one on the way…
Beyond your other great talents — remembering the champagne we had 10 years ago, naming the architect of some random building, or creating the most iconic design pieces — being the best dad to our kids is what I’m most grateful for.
Showing up. Taking care. Loving. We always sleep better when you’re home.
Happy Birthday Mr @martinspilens 🤍 by @gaiapilens

This past month has been generous—not just in the warmth of the air, but in the warmth of the people I’ve met along the way. Older kids came to visit us in Venice, and their energy filled the house. Conversations followed—like the one with the café manager at Airelles about pasta ragù—the kind of talk that reminds you how much life lives in the small moments. Then I met my gallerist from New York City, a connection that felt both professional and deeply personal. And there were those dolce far niente mornings with friends from Vienna—slow, unhurried, and exactly what I needed. There’s so much more, but these are the moments that stay with me: ordinary, human, and full of grace.

Lunch with my daughter Maija at Airelles… hours of girl talk, good food and fantastic ambience.

We’ve finished work on the embroidered murals with fantastic team from @__aequo__ . They will be shown in parts: in Paris, Mumbai and Abu Dhabi.

With dearest @lisaperrystyle from NYC. She’s the most generous visionary representing female artists in her gallery. I’m so grateful being part of her gallery Onna House.

Family affair! Our son @andrejmihelson came over after 3 months of travel around the globe.

Simple every day moments with no rush.

If there is one place we suggest in Venice, it’s @allarcovenezia

The waiting game.

Is there a more beautiful hospital entrance, than this?!

Just a moment of love and our daily vaporetto. To and from school.

My lovely @lealitaa & @nurielmolcho in our favorite street style shop @venicemart_official

Somehow living here feels absolutely natural and magical at the same time. And I think it is the most romantic city in the world.

With dear @lisa.hollogschwandtner A heartwarming morning where I showed her my favorite art postcard antique.

Papa always being the gentleman.

Well, if you happen to be in Airelles in Venice, make sure not to miss out on the secret door from the bar leading to the church by Palladio. It is the last you expect when a bartender in a fancy white jacket and black bow tie asks: “do you want to see what’s behind the door?!”

@amyrevier is an artist I absolutely love. Her work just speaks to me on a deeper level.
