We’re proud to celebrate Carl E. Hazlewood @carle.hazlewood , a member of the Gallery Particulier board, whose legacy is being recognized in The New York Times. Carl co-founded Aljira with Victor Davson in Newark, building a space that opened doors for artists who were too often overlooked by mainstream institutions. For 35 years, Aljira helped artists find opportunity, community, and a place in the contemporary art world. We’re proud to have Carl as part of the Gallery Particulier community, and proud to see the impact of his work being celebrated today. #galleryparti #galleryparticulier #CarlHazlewood #Aljira #DreamtimeInNewark #ContemporaryArt #ArtHistory #NewarkArt by @gallery.parti

They chose the artwork. We’d like to help them keep it. Gallery Particulier brings art into shelters and senior residences, where residents choose pieces for the spaces where they live and gather. Your donation can help us create prints that stay on those walls instead of disappearing when a temporary loan ends. Even a small contribution helps. The art is already on the walls. Help us keep it there. Gallery Particulier has brought artwork into shelters and senior residences, where residents chose the pieces they wanted to live with. Now we’re raising funds so those walls don’t have to become empty again. Your donation helps cover durable canvas and foam prints, plus the materials needed to keep them safely displayed. Art belongs in everyday life, especially in spaces where it can bring color, conversation, and connection. Help us reach our $1,800 goal: https://bkgives.brooklyn.org/story/h8047f #galleryparti #galleryparticulier #BrooklynGives #CommunityArt #ArtAccess #SupportTheArts #BrooklynArt #ArtForAll by @gallery.parti
