The reason for my cross stitching absence lately... been very much obsessed w my retro gaming collecting, and I'm currently working thru every Donkey Kong game I can get my hands on 😂

I made a new frame for my AbFab piece! This was so much fun to do 😍 by @gamegurlstitching

Stitched up my all-time favorite Pokémon, shiny Magmar! ✨️ by @gamegurlstitching

Made this one as a gift for my friend of ~20 years - @that_spacer_stacer !

🧠 I created the pattern based on an image I found deep on Google images and can't seem to locate again 🙃

ℹ️ Stitched on 18 count aida dyed w Rit Royal Blue, displayed in a 3x5 oval hoop painted bright red. 3D web action is craft fluff secured with a few stitches and some Elmer's. by @gamegurlstitching

I finished this weeks ago it feels like, but I'm finally posting it! 😅

🧠 Pattern designed by myself, inspired by the hidden 8-bit sprites (including Bird Flipping Toad) around Epic Universe's Super Nintendo World (side note, I've been 3x and I'm obsessed with the place 😭). I also handpainted the frame myself!

⚠️ I accidentally snipped the aida while frogging the invincible star, so the fabric is a bit warped in that area. Oh well! And as always, these photos are 🗑 (thank you Samsung 🥲)

ℹ️ stitched on 22 count aida and displayed in an 8×10 frame painted w acrylic.

I made a Needle Buddy! I've been obsessed with collecting an army of these Lego Z-Blobs (which I refer to as Limitos - I may or may not be working on a homemade "Slime Lord" build which includes a LOT of these guys 👀) and I noticed the little peg hole at the top was the perfect size for a needle 💡

This is great for me as I work on small pieces and needleminders often get in the way, but this lil guy just sits at the top of the hoop and minds his business until his services are required. If you're a fellow Lego freak, definitely give this a try with your favorite piece! by @gamegurlstitching

After stitching the Stitch Goblin mini pattern once, I was dying to stitch it again. Luckily the designer also created this similar pattern - to be given as a gift for a friend of my sister.

(I regret to inform that my poor camera quality has once again ruined my shots, but I assure you it's much more sparkly in person 🥲)

🧠 Mini "Dice Goblin" pattern designed by the ever so talented @echoandmine 🔊

🛠 Pattern stitched on 18 count aida tie dyed by myself using a @dharmatradingco blend ice dye. It's displayed in a 5 inch wooden embroidery hoop painted metallic olivey green. I used DMC and Cosmo floss mainly, with Kreinik blending filament as sparkly backstitching. The added numbers are all in E940 (glow in the dark). by @gamegurlstitching

This one goes out to my (recently medicated) mind-numbing, all-consuming, completely immobilizing General Anxiety Disorder. I was diagnosed in my early 20s, and have just been raw dogging life for over a decade ever since. I recently decided it was too much to bear, so I used the benefits I'm blessed enough to have at my disposal and got myself medicated.

I'm still on a starter dose of Lexapro for now, but I already love how much differently I'm feeling. No one will be able to ruffle a single feather once I take it up to 20 MG 🤪💫✨️

🧠 Pattern designed by easily one of my favorite creators, the lovely @ourkatieofsorrows 💐

🛠 Piece stitched on 22 count aida dyed with a small amount of Rit Sunshine Yellow (iirc) and displayed in a 4 x 6" oval wooden hoop painted a metallic brown, left unglossed. I stitched on some little mushroom, acorn, and sunflower charms around the sides, and I used the called-for DMC regular threads, but swapped a few colors out for the étoile equivalent.

I actually finished this piece weeks ago, but I accidentally dropped it at some point after completion, resulting in the fabric becoming slightly loose and a small stain on the top (I tried my best with some Dawn to get it out!) Between that and my frustration with the degradation of the quality of my phone's camera, this was the first in what is now a whole pile of finished pieces I have to post 🥲

🧠 this hilarious pattern was designed by the coolest shrimp with the greenest thumb - @luccishrimp 🦐🥕

🛠 stitched on 18 count aida dyed with Rit liquid dye - I believe I used Hyacinth, but I'm not 100%. Stitched used DMC and Kreinik threads and displayed in a 6" squared wooden embroidery hoop, which I painted neon flashing pink with glitter and sealed with a clear gloss.

❓️ I'm really not loving the way my photos of anything are coming out anymore - I'm just posting "good enough" pics and I hate it 😃 I use a Galaxy 23+ - I won't switch to Apple, but I've heard great things about the Pixel. What do y'all use to photograph your pieces, and more specifically, the sparkle?? It's putting me in a posting rut 🫠

🎶 the audio for the post is from one of my all-time favorite YouTube videos, "shrimp miku" by justin oval (it's only 1 minute and 18 seconds of pure happy nonsense!) The creator actually had a plushie made from the popularity of said video, and of course I snagged one (last slide!) 🎺🦐

My first 8-Bit Neopet piece is done! ✅️ 8-Bit Skeith is one of my dream pets, so now I can have one on my wall until I get one in-game 🥹

🧠 Pattern "made" by me - you can practically stitch it from the image itself, so most of the credit of course goes to @neopetsofficialaccount 😊

🛠 Piece stitched on 18 count aida dyed with @ritdye Sunshine Orange and displayed in a 4" wooden embroidery hoop painted a flashing yellow with small pompom balls glued on the front of the hoop (sides left undecorated).

I know I say every project was so much fun, but this one was SO. Much. Fun.! There's about a 100% chance that I'll end up doing it again in a different color story 😅

🧠 "Stash Goblin" pattern designed by the talented @echoandmine 🧵

ℹ️ this is the mini version that comes with a larger "Stash Goblin" pattern. I opted for an alternate color palette and went a little crazy with some extra backstitching!

🛠 pattern stitched on 18 count aida fabric dyed a custom mix purple using @dharmatradingco dyes, displayed in a 4" embroidery hoop painted metallic frosty purple, adorned with "jewels" in the shapes of exclamation points around (not pictured), and sealed with a clear gloss coat. I used DMC, Ariadna, and Cosmo floss, Kreinik #4 braid, and Kreinik blending filament for most of the outer backstitching.

🫐 Blueberries, but make them ✨️editorial✨️

ℹ️ I did a mini photoshoot à la 2000s Harper's Bazaar with this installment of Tiny Fruits, and made sure to add one with my signature bad hand modeling 💫

🛠 piece shown stitched on 14 count iridescent aida by @dmc_embroidery dyed with Rit Aquamarine (I think - I dyed this cloth in January for this project 🥲) displayed in a 2.2" wooden embroidery hoop painted metallic blue, sealed with @modpodgecrafts glitter sealant, and decorated with alternating flower and leaf shaped spangles. The stitching includes metallic threads, glass seed beads, and additional flower spangles, with iridescent sparkles glued about the front.
