If you speak Indonesian, check out the @sbs.indonesian interview with @scott.owen on his experience playing with us and @readynewgang captured at our Bali by the Lake event at Coburg Lake earlier this month. Speaking about his experience playing gamelan, he said "I think the influence that gamelan has on me and, what it's taught me as a musician is pretty strong. There's a lot of elements of gamelan that I can now call on when I'm playing in Western music, rock and roll band and they help me be a little bit more creative." We love our diverse community, and the many reasons they all come to join us. If this sounds like fun, come down to our community rehearsals sometime. There's a class on tonight! Link in our bio. If you'd like to listen to the story, the link is also in our bio. The Bali by the Lake event was generously supported by the Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (@vicgovdffh) through the Multicultural Festivals & Events program. by @gamelandananda
