Sharing some personal thoughts.
I really love dancing. Dance really shaped me, gave me confidence and purpose. And joy. Huge joy of connecting with myself and others through it.

I participated in many events, jams, battles, etc and unfortunately many times, at least for a moment I felt that I am judging myself. Not good enough, not versitile enough, not strong enough and so on. Every moment i felt low in cyphers, did not pass prelims, lost in first round or even loosing in finals! could make me frustrated and constantly analyzing what i did not do to be enough or better. Maybe not always it is seen but my closest ones know, how deep i can go with it. And i know battles do not define me as a dancer. It is not the only way and i understand the rule of this game but still it was getting me here and there. Eventhough I always want to go there with a positive intention, result might affect my mind in sabotaging way.

I had lots of insightful conversations with people after events where dancers also shared their own mental struggles. And this is pretty funny how many times on sessions or events i hear people say how free i am while dancing when i know what can be happening behind my mind 🤖 Be free to share if you had something similar or other way around, would be happy to know your way.

I know I am getting way better in this then before and there are more days when i am so happy with myself and not caring about how it went today. I want those days to be constant on my way , that is my affirmation. 🌻

Enjoy yourselves 🫶
