Alhamdulillah ya Allah, grateful to be able to see months of planning finally come together into a successful event. Last month I Curated and hosted my first photography exhibition in Kano, titled Colors of the Durbar under Gargajiya collective (an art collective I started together with some amazing artists and art enthusiasts.) The exhibition celebrated the Durbar festival showcasing the people, procession, details of attire, horses, architecture, burst of colors and textures that all come together to make this magnificent event. With a Panel on Preservation of culture through art by @simplysauda , Sani maikatanga and Tafidan Kano @ashrafsanusi . Thank you to everyone who helped me plan, took time to attend the event, submitted pictures and helped me share the flyer for the event. Special thanks to my co-curators and fellow members of Gargajiya Collective @mni.jpeg @iklimababangida @withlovemairo @mvsteea Thank you to @ad_maihoto and Osamudiamen Imasuen for the pictures. by @gargajiyacollective
