The most expensive card in all of Pokemon 💰 Did You Know? 🤔 The Pikachu Illustrator card was never sold in stores ❌ It was given out in 1998 as a prize to winners of CoroCoro Comic’s illustration contests in Japan, with only around 39 copies ever awarded 🏆 It is also the only card to say “Illustrator” where “Trainer” would normally be, which makes it one of a kind ✏️✨ Only at... #GarysPokeMart #PokemonTCG #PikachuIllustrator #PokemonCards #PokemonCommunity by @garys_pokemart

Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf got their very first cards in this set, and this box of them has never been opened. Mysterious Treasures came out in August 2007 as the second English set of the Diamond & Pearl era. In Japan it was called Secret of the Lakes, and the three lake guardians are right there on the front of this box. It’s also the set that brought in Pokémon holding items, new Fossils and three Pokémon LV.X cards: Electivire, Lucario and Magmortar, plus a secret rare at No. 124 of 123. Now let’s go back to 2007. For years, very few people saved Diamond & Pearl boxes. Collectors were either chasing the vintage Wizards of the Coast era or the newest sets, so these got opened and played with. Now the kids who ripped these packs in 2007 are grown up collectors, and sealed boxes from this era with clean shrink and sharp corners are really hard to find. You’re looking at one that made it. It’s a full 36-pack box, still in its original factory shrink, with no broken corners, looking exactly like it did on a store shelf in 2007, which is crazy to say. It’s Lot 7 in @joopiterofficial’s Pokémon! Manga! Anime! Auction #pokemon by @garys_pokemart
Gary breaks down the Legendary Collection 🔥 Did You Know? 🤔 Legendary Collection, released in 2002, was the first Pokemon TCG set to feature reverse holo cards ✨ Its famous fireworks pattern reverse holos are some of the most sought after cards from the Wizards of the Coast era 🎆💎 Only at... #GarysPokeMart #PokemonTCG #LegendaryCollection #PokemonCards #pokèmoncommunity by @garys_pokemart
The Fossil expansion also known as Mystery of the Fossils in Japan is the smallest main expansion in the history of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, containing only 62 cards in the English set. It completing the original Pokedex! Released on October 10, 1999, this third English expansion completed the original 150 Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Blue inside the TCG. Fossil was the very last Pokémon TCG set to use the old school Starlite holo foil pattern on its rare cards before transitioning to the modern Cosmos holo foil pattern. The set introduced the Mysterious Fossil card! Which is an item card that players had to play onto the bench like a Trainer before it could evolve into ancient Pokémon like Kabutops or Omastar. The English holo Zapdos from this set is infamous for a printing error where the evolution box was accidentally left missing in the upper-right corner of the card. A factory sealed box is now currently available on @joopiterofficial #pokemon by @garys_pokemart
