NOW INTRODUCING, THE SPECTACULAR!! THE AMAZING!! THE MAGICAL… MISSY! (Short for “The Magical Misses Mistofelees”) Our new little bundle of fur!
We brought her home about two weeks ago and she has settled right in! She is very sweet and loves to meet friends that come over. Missy loves to chase her toys (her favorite being the laser and the bird wand)! She sleeps with us at night and wakes us up for playtime.
We’re so excited to have her home and we love her more than she could possibly comprehend. ❤️ by @chaseguthriek

Mary Ellen (Borgerding) Barber died peacefully in New York City on March 6th, 2024 at the age of sixty-three after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

She is survived by her husband Billy, daughter Grace, stepchildren Julia (Jonathan) Eshak and Christopher, grandchildren Ingrid and Laurence Eshak, mother Shirley Borgerding, and siblings Brian (Karen) Borgerding, Jim Borgerding, Jean (John) Pupkes, Betty (Vincent) Battaglia, Paul (Valorie) Borgerding and Laurie (Ashly Guest) Borgerding. She was preceded in death by her father George Borgerding.

Mary was born on June 16th, 1960 in Belgrade, Minnesota in the back seat of her parents’ car while her father rushed to the hospital from calling a Bingo game. She was a wonderful wife and mother, a beautiful woman inside and out, a great cook, and an avid gardener. Her easy warmth and pointed wit drew people to Mary, as evidenced by an impressive collection of lifelong friends - ordinary folks, bon vivants and spoiled brats - all of whom supported her steadfastly during her long illness. Mary was also a successful Wall Street executive working at IDS in Minneapolis, and Citibank and Credit Suisse in New York where she was Director, Interest Rate Product Sales for twenty five years. When asked in an informal setting, she would describe her job as selling bonds, or as her daughter Grace once told her horrified teacher and kindergarten class “selling bombs.” Mary’s beloved family and friends will remember her most for her unwavering dedication to and support of the people she loved, her humor, and her kindness.

A memorial will be held on May 5th from 1-4pm at Hotel Landing in Wayzata, Minnesota, with a 2pm service.

In remembrance of Mary, her family asks that any charitable donations be made to No Kid Hungry or Doctors Without Borders. Her family would like to thank the tireless professionals at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. by @chaseguthriek

My mom passed away last night, after two and a half years with a cancer that we were told would only leave her months. She was the very best of us. I miss her immeasurably. I wish I could talk to her about this. Please keep her in your thoughts. 💚 by @chaseguthriek
