Elon Musk Rumored To Take Over Star Trek And Strip Out Woke Content
Elon Musk is rumored to be taking over Star Trek.

The rumor says Musk would come in at Skydance as a consultant and strip the DEI out of the franchise.

It lands on top of real news.

Musk just put about $1 billion into Skydance, and his Starlink is in talks with the studio for a distribution deal.Musk buying in is something our insiders called months ago, right down to naming Star Trek.A Consultant Who Would ‘Do Away With All The DEI’
The rumor spread through Star Trek YouTube channels, including JDA Talks Trek, and the Tachyon Pulse Podcast is now shooting it down.

“No, let’s just dispel this rumor straight away. Elon Musk is not going to be taking over Star Trek,” says the host.

Per the rumor, Musk is going to “come in as a consultant, do away with all the DEI, and make Star Trek about the hardcore sci-fi again, the science.”

The host points at the money as the reason the rumor exists at all. “I actually think this rumor has come about because Elon Musk has invested a billion dollars into Skydance.”

He talks to people inside the studio, and they are watching Musk. Just not around Star Trek.

“I speak to several insiders that are very worried about that. They do think he wants to inject his influence, but the fear is he’s trying to put influence on CNN, not things like Star Trek.”

He adds there are no plans to make Paramount or Warner Bros. “particularly right-wing,” with David Ellison “far more savvy than that.”

And on the big question: “I do know what the plan currently for Star Trek is, and it’s not to hand it over to Elon Musk.”Our Insiders Called The Musk Money
The billion dollars is confirmed, and none of it surprised our readers as Musk was named by our insiders in talks dating back to July.

Back in September, when Semafor first floated Musk as a Paramount investor, our insider spelled out what Musk buying in would mean: “And Paramount, HBO, Star Trek, Batman, etc. the Wokecalypse is upon us.”Star Trek was named before a dollar moved.

On October 8, the same sources gave us the Skydance equation: “The equation is not Para + Warner, it by @geekprimex

Elon Musk’s “Historically-Accurate” Version Of The Odyssey Makes The Same Mistakes Nolan Did
After surpassing The Dark Knight Rises at the box office, netting $1.86 billion worldwide, The Odyssey is now Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing film. The movie's overwhelming acclaim, however, didn't convince Elon Musk, who blasted it for being historically inaccurate and promised that Grok Imagine, his AI engine, would deliver a feature-length version that is "historically accurate and true to the art of Homer." However, the first seven minutes of the film, which have been released on X, only make Christopher Nolan's version feel more like a masterpiece. From "empty and unsettling" to being neither "historically accurate nor even The Odyssey," the reception of Elon Musk's The Odyssey is the exact opposite of Nolan's version.Elon Musk took issue with the casting of Lupita Nyong'o, a black actress, as Helen of Troy, and transgender actor Elliot Page as Sinon, calling out the decision for being "woke" and pushing a leftist agenda. "The ancient Greeks are still Vikings floating around in longships for some reason. And now they have 19th-century oil lamps? But at least there are no Black people! Because Black people didn't exist in 3000 B.C. Masterpiece," one X user said, calling out Musk's failure to deliver on his biggest criticism of Nolan's film.

Nolan's greatest critics would likely take his adaptation over Musk's AI version of The Odyssey. While the video quality and the actors' physical appearance in his AI film are quite appealing, that is about the only positive thing about the seven-minute clip released so far. The most startling thing about the AI production is that the characters lack empathy and seem to stare blankly into space with no clear emotion. "Ohhhhhh that’s so bad. Right from the first character's face, you can tell it's AI. The expressions on the woman were contrived and unbelievable. The AI men were stiff and extremely unsettling to watch when they 'speak.' Ugh," another person summarized the performance of the AI actors in the seven-minute clip.Elon Musk's AI version of The Odyssey also features its own historical inaccuracies that fans w by @geekprimex

WWE SmackDown results, Oct. 30, 2026: Sami Zayn survives Trick Williams in a WWE Title No DQ Match on special Danhausen SmackDown & Harry Potter’s Paapa Essiedu Reacts To Snape Backlash: “I Walk Into It With Open Eyes”
Paapa Essiedu says he knew exactly what he was signing up for when he took the role of Severus Snape in HBO’s Harry Potter series.

The actor addressed the casting backlash Thursday night at the TIME100 Next Gala in New York, telling Variety the cast and crew have had his back.

“The whole team has been so supportive of me,” said Essiedu. “Obviously, my priority is the work. I wouldn’t take this job on [otherwise], but I walk into it with open eyes.”

“I understand the broad spectrum of what the reaction to what we’re doing means, and I take that mantle on with an open and full heart,” he continued. “I’ve also been blown away by a lot of the support and well-wishes and excitement.”Essiedu Says The Backlash Has “Fueled” Him
Essiedu’s casting has been at the center of fan pushback since the first teaser arrived back in March, with the video going on to pass 373,000 dislikes on YouTube.

The reaction flared up again in September when J.K. Rowling posted the second trailer and the replies filled up with Snape complaints.

Essiedu previously told The Sunday Times of London that he has received racially motivated death threats over the role, and that the abuse has “fueled” him to make the character his own.

The actor also talked about Snape’s new look, which swaps Alan Rickman’s buttoned-up robes for shoulder-length dreadlocks, a zip-up leather jacket, and an oversized black cloak.

“I think the aesthetic is important,” he said. “I don’t know if style is necessarily at the forefront of my mind when generating the character, but I think the way he looks tells so much about who he is, and who he wants people to think he is. It’s all incredibly well thought through and collaborated with the incredible costume department.”Harry Potter Premieres December 25 On HBO Max

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi is currently pencilled in to headline Night Two of WrestleMania 43. Jonathan Coachman has shared an interesting update on WWE's plans for Crown Jewel amid the uncertainty surrounding the company's trip to Saudi Arabia. Speaking on Two Count Tuesday, Coachman claimed a source told him WWE will simply cancel the show and hold it at a later date if the company cannot travel to Riyadh. Patrick Stewart, Legendary Star Trek and X-Men Actor, Dead at 86 & James Gunn On DCU Canon Questions: ‘I Was Asked This Sh-t Constantly At Marvel’
James Gunn put his own movie on trial this week, launching an official podcast to decide whether The Suicide Squad is canon in the DCU.

When a fan responded that Marvel never had to clarify its continuity this much, the DC Studios boss answered with one line.

“I was asked this sh-t constantly at Marvel,” Gunn wrote on Threads.

The reply caps a week of Gunn defending the DCU’s plan.‘Marvel Has Never Had To Clarify Continuity This Much’
Gunn announced the episode on Threads on October 29.
“To celebrate DC Super-Villain month, we’ve decided to lay down the law on whether The Suicide Squad is canon in the DCU,” Gunn posted, with Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee as his “charming cohosts.”
“Marvel has never had to clarify continuity this much,” a fan replied.
Other fans pushed back on that, listing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Defenders, Agent Carter, Cloak & Dagger, Inhumans, Runaways and Helstrom as Marvel projects that were treated as canon until they weren’t.
“And Marvel was struggling with these issues for projects made during their main connected universe,” one added.
That is where Gunn jumped in: “I was asked this sh-t constantly at Marvel.”
Gunn spent a decade at Marvel Studios making the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy before taking over DC Studios with Peter Safran. The Suicide Squad Is Now ‘The First Canon Film In The DCU’
The podcast itself is an hourlong one-off with Holland and Agee, built on fan questions from the DC Discord, a table of Task Force X props, and video messages from John Cena and David Dastmalchian.
Gunn opens it by admitting he already ruled once the other way.“I’m always getting questions about, is the movie, The Suicide Squad, canon in the DCU? I came out and said, no, it’s not canon,” Gunn says. “But lately, when people ask me, I go, ‘Well, why can’t it be canon exactly?'”
An hour of deliberation later, Gunn hands down the ruling.
“I think that we can actually say that, yes, not only is The Suicide Squad canon, but it’s the first by @geekprimex

Clayface’s $3.3 Million Discount Tuesday Is Not A ‘Boost’
Clayface pulled in $3.3 million on Discount Tuesday.

Box office sites are writing the number up as a win. Boxoffice Pro calls the Monday and Tuesday sales “great.” The praise is for You Can See Everything, not Clayface. Comic Book Movie says it’s a “boost.” Do we even bother checking Collider?

Per BOP, the Elizabeth Holmes documentary had its biggest day since Friday. Clayface came in under its own Saturday and Sunday.

Every movie jumps on cheap-ticket night. The question is how high, and the comps answer it.A Million Under Supergirl’s Discount Tuesday
Supergirl did $4.4 million on its first Discount Tuesday. That is the lowest-grossing DC movie ever outdrawing Clayface by a million on the same cheap-ticket day.

Even the jump was bigger. Supergirl‘s first Tuesday was up 52.1% from its Monday. Clayface‘s was up 48.3%.

Clayface‘s Tuesday is 23.7% below Supergirl‘s. And Supergirl only finished with $126 million.

Resident Evil did $6.9 million on its first Tuesday last month.Gunn’s Own A- Comps Leave It Behind
James Gunn put Clayface next to Sinners, Weapons, and Obsession when he celebrated the A- CinemaScore.

The first Tuesdays for those movies tell a different story.

Sinners did $8.6 million. Weapons did $6.7 million. The only one in range is Obsession at $3.6 million. The difference is that Obsession had a hype wave behind it and jumped 39% in its second weekend. Clayface is not riding anything close to that, especially with Halloween landing on a Saturday.Beating Bombs Is Not A Win
The Tuesday number does clear every Sony Marvel villain movie except the Venom films.

What does that say? Morbius, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter all massively bombed. Clearing their numbers proves Clayface is not Kraven. It does not prove it is a hit.

Clayface cost $44 million to make. The break-even point is around $110 million worldwide. Through Tuesday, the total sits at $50.8 million.

If it continues trailing Supergirl, Clayface could finish barely breaking even.DC Fans, Horror Fans, And General Audiences All Passed

Kathleen Kennedy Put in Charge of 2028 Olympics Opening/Closing Ceremonies
Apparently, overseeing one of the most divisive periods in Star Wars history is excellent preparation for organizing one of the world's biggest celebrations of unity.

Former Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has been appointed Head of Ceremonies and Content for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games, placing the longtime Hollywood producer in a leadership role overseeing four major international ceremonies.

The announcement comes just months after Kennedy departed Lucasfilm, ending a 14-year tenure that saw Disney's Star Wars franchise experience increasingly divisive creative decisions, theatrical disappointments, and a seemingly endless parade of announced projects that never materialized.

Now, the woman who struggled to keep Star Wars fans united will help deliver ceremonies designed to bring the entire world together.

What could possibly go wrong?

Kathleen Kennedy Takes Over the Los Angeles Olympics
According to Variety, Kennedy is replacing former Disney executive Peter Rice as Head of Ceremonies and Content for the 2028 Games.

Rice, who recently joined Netflix as its chief content officer, will remain involved with the Olympic ceremonies as an executive producer.

Kennedy will oversee the delivery of the opening and closing ceremonies for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games, working alongside creative director Ben Winston and veteran Olympic producer Scott Givens.

In its official announcement, LA28 praised Kennedy's Hollywood credentials, highlighting her work on more than 70 feature films and projects that collectively earned 120 Academy Award nominations and 25 wins.LA28 Chairman Casey Wasserman offered particularly enthusiastic praise for the appointment.
"Kathleen is a legend. She is one of Hollywood's all-time greats, with a rare gift for storytelling," Wasserman declared.
That assessment might receive a somewhat different reception among longtime Star Wars fans.
Kennedy also expressed excitement about the assignment, explaining that she and her husband, producer Frank Marshall, have attended virtually every Olympic Games since Los Angeles hosted the even by @geekprimex

Mass Effect 5 Devs: EA’s New Owners Asked To Remove Woke Content
The developers who were building Mass Effect 5 are talking, and they say EA’s new owners wanted the woke content out.

In a report from France’s BFM Tech, BioWare employees speaking anonymously reveal that new management asked for a flag “too similar to the LGBTQIA+ flag” to be removed from a Mass Effect 5 presentation video “so as not to cause offense.”

The report lands a week after EA shut down BioWare and canceled the game, the publisher’s first cuts since the Saudis took over EA.‘Which Didn’t Help Dispel The Skepticism’
“I think the video proposals we presented to the new management weren’t convincing,” a BioWare dev identified as Arthur told BFM Tech. “Especially since BioWare is known for its inclusive stories, which didn’t help dispel the skepticism.”That skepticism is what led to the request to pull the flag from the video, per the report.

A year ago, when the Saudi-led buyout was announced, former BioWare lead writer Trick Weekes predicted the new owners would want no “gay stuff” and would shut a studio down. The devs are now describing that from the inside.

Word of woke content getting stripped from the game goes back even further. In December 2024, a QA contractor on Mass Effect 5 claimed in a Reddit warning that devs were told to delay or pull anything “woke” or “political” and launch the game as “clean” as possible.

The team also says the cancellation blindsided them.

“When we were told that we would not be part of Electronic Arts’ future offering, we were surprised, because everything was going well. We continued to develop the game as if nothing had happened,” said Arthur.

Even the crossovers were still on. Mass Effect skins were set to hit Battlefield 6 in a special event, and they were pulled from the game files at the last minute.“It’s as if they wanted to completely erase Bioware, to make it seem as if all of this never existed,” said an artist who worked on the game.
EA did not respond to BFM Tech’s requests for comment. What Fans Just Lost
The report also spells out what died with the studio.

U.S. Government Shares Viral Harry Potter ‘Malfoid’ Meme
The United States Department of Education, an agency of the federal government, has apparently joined one of the internet's strangest Harry Potter trends, sharing an illustration featuring the viral female version of Draco Malfoy known as "Malfoid."
On October 27, the department's official X account published an image depicting Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, accompanied by the caption: "There's Magic in Learning! 🪄"The artwork features Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger walking toward Hogwarts Castle. However, lurking behind a tree in the foreground is a familiar-looking blonde student with long hair.

That's right. The United States government appears to have embraced Malfoid.

The illustration also features the slogan "MAKE EDUCATION GREAT AGAIN," an unmistakable reference to President Donald Trump's political messaging.

According to Just the News, the post is part of a broader pattern of government social media accounts incorporating popular internet memes into their messaging.

What Is the Malfoid Meme?
For those unfamiliar with this particular corner of internet culture, Malfoid is a fan-created, gender-swapped interpretation of Draco Malfoy, the blonde Slytherin antagonist from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter franchise.

Rather than simply depicting Draco as a girl, internet artists have transformed the character into an anime-inspired personality who frequently antagonizes Harry Potter while harboring an apparent romantic interest in him.The character often follows a Japanese archetype, in which someone disguises romantic affection behind a hostile or confrontational personality.

According to Know Your Meme, the trend exploded in September 2026 after X artist REDTEN published an illustration featuring the female Malfoy mocking Harry Potter.

The September 22 illustration quickly attracted millions of views, inspiring countless additional drawings, comics, and fan-created stories.

Although female interpretations of Draco Malfoy existed long before September, the latest incarnation has become a recognizable internet phenomenon.
