Naturalist community for creative freaks & geeks — a space to connect, explore and grow together through gentle adventures 𖧧

POSTS STORIES REELS

🌀 WELCOME TO THE GENTLE HUMAN CLUB 🌀

It all started as a small group of fungi lovers, but we are expanding. Now it’s a naturalist club for creative freaks & geeks. Here we post observations, random facts for the smartest person in the room (we don’t judge), adventure announces and more community events.

We believe that the most human thing to do is to stay curious — so let’s do it together!

xoxo, gentle human

P.S. all links in bio, please share to a naturalist friend + it’s free membership till 15/10 — early birds are welcomed 🐦‍⬛

Enchanted by magical creatures from the Pyrenees…. Stay tuned, we are going to organise a trip to the forest very soon 👀🌀 by @gentlehuman.club

Hey hey, today we are talking about MUSHROOMS and their whimsical powers.

There is a certain fear of uncertainty, when it comes to fungi kingdom. They were considered eerie, devil creations, that appeared out of nowhere and disappeared to nowhere. Folklore and language became the main source of our cultural ancestry heritage. Shakespeare wrote about Witch butter, Santa may be a fly-agaric shaman and a Scottish rhyme warns that “he wha tills the fairies’ green / Nae luck again shall hae”.

Don’t hesitate to share other tales or superstitions on fungi that you find interesting 🤲🐸 by @gentlehuman.club

I’ve participated as an artist and musical enthusiast in Station Radio — an occasional broadcast at Garage Museum of Contemporary Art @garagemca

Season 06, “Mycolograph”, explores the image of mycelium, which has captured popular culture and contemporary art.

1. The more open you are to the world, the more you’ll notice — even a tiny mushroom cap in the middle of nowhere

2. Allow yourself to be heard — your voice matters, no matter what others might think

3. Preserve natural curiosity — it’s the most fragile and precious thing you can have (even as an adult)

4. Wild creatures aren’t resources — they’re friends. Respect them like equals

5. All you can imagine can somehow be brought to life — even if your mushroom grows only on paper by @gentlehuman.club

꩜ Gentle Humans & Mushrooms ꩜

Get to know our mycelium of gentle humans! We start a series of interviews with members of our community: share our experiences, advice and many more.

The first guest is @sashamya5nikov — our friend & fungi enthusiast. Sasha works with yeast at @masamadremsc and forage wild mushrooms since childhood.

@gh.mushroom.club x @mentalvacation.co fungi walk full of curiosities by @gentlehuman.club

As our community shares more fresh fungi photos, it’s getting harder to hide our enthusiasm. To get ready for mushroom season (and make it an all-year-long occasion), we asked @kinoclub_bcn to recommend some movies that might inspire your next getaway into the woods. 🍄‍🟫 by @gentlehuman.club
