Look at that glow ✨🧡

Today we did a combination of lowlights and freehand painting to balance Izzy’s old colour. It’d been about 10 months since we last highlighted and she spends a lot of time in the sun so we needed to soften the old balayage while adding in some gentle highlights at the top. She loves a low maintenance colour so a seamless blend is important! Izzy’s maintenance will be a toner every few months and then we will probably see her again for her highlight in 6-12 months!!

Loving a subtle change that makes a huge difference 🤎 Neutralising that sun kissed warmth and adding a little depth for shiny, healthy looking hair.

Let’s talk about grey blending!

Simona had been getting permanent colour put on her roots every 6 months (see last pic for before). What she was left with was a very warm faded colour and a harsh demarcation line. Today we chose to use a demi-permanent colour instead.

She always wanted to cover her greys but keep her roots close to her natural colour. Unfortunately the previous permanent colour was shifting her natural hair and creating unwanted warmth. The benefit of using the demi colour allows us to only deposit to blend the greys and we still achieved almost 100% coverage.

Now as her colour fades she won’t get that harsh line like before, her hair will be healthier and shinier, and this colour will be more suitable for her ideal maintenance time!

A little colour rebalancing 🧡

We loved her natural colour coming through, so the goal wasn’t to make her lighter but to give her a more even, lived in colour.

I used a combination of lowlights and highlights to bring everything back to a balance and soften the contrast to create a more seamless blend.

Tidying up the hair post summer sun 🧡

The magic of lowlights!!

We wanted to move back towards something more low-maintenance as we come out of summer. Adding lowlights through her existing blonde allowed us to keep the dimension and movement while softening old colour, removing any demarcation lines and creating a more natural, lived-in finish. Finishing it off with a good layered haircut to complement the colour.
