The Red Rose Café Choose carefully — because the other two disappear. No ties. No “I love them all.” No sneaky second choice. Drop 1, 2 or 3 in the comments and tell us which Fureys classic you’re saving. The votes are counting towards The Two Auld Folkers audience favourite for The Fureys. So… Which one survives? #OneSongOnly #TwoAuldFolkers #TheFureys #IrishFolk #IrishFolkMusic #IrishMusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
"I think I could sing before I could talk." 🎶 For Mick the Busker McLoughlin, music wasn't something he discovered later in life. It was already waiting for him at home. His dad's accordions, banjos, mandolins and guitars. His mam singing around the house. Neighbours dropping in for a tune. And a young Mick hiding under the couch, listening to it all. What a way to grow up! Mick shares these memories with Mick O'Brien and Gerry Browne on the Two Auld Folkers Podcast. Did you grow up in a house full of music? Tell us who you'd hear singing or playing. Available now on all podcast platforms.Link In Bio. #TwoAuldFolkers #MickTheBusker #IrishFolkMusic #IrishMusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
“We shared a few stories, sang a few tunes and had a lot of laughs.” Fin Furey’s review of his visit to the Two Auld Folkers is probably better than anything we could write ourselves. Fin joins his cousin Connor Furey for the final episode of Season One. There are stories. There are songs. There is plenty of laughing. And, as usual, the conversation takes a few unexpected turns. Watch Fin’s message, then join us for one last session before we close the door on Season One. Available now on all podcast platforms. WHO’S THE FOLKER? 👀 Time for another mystery voice before tonight’s episode. Here’s your clue: one of our two mystery folkers once had a music video directed by actor Robert Sheehan — after the pair met completely by chance in Toronto. Now listen carefully to the voices in the reel. Do you know who we’ve got in the studio? No Googling the clue before you guess… we’re watching ye. 😄 Drop your answer below. The mystery is solved tonight when the new episode of Two Auld Folkers lands at 7pm. #WhosTheFolker #TwoAuldFolkers #irishfolkmusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
DAMIEN DEMPSEY IS IN THE HOUSE 🎶 “Dia duit a chairde… howya’s all doin’?” Damien Dempsey joined the Two Auld Folkers for an afternoon of songs, stories and a good bit of craic. Or, as Damien himself puts it, he’s “the howya singer.” 😂 Tune in and join Damien, Gerry and Mick for the full conversation. Available now on all podcast platforms. WHO'S THE FOLKER? 👀 Today's clue is a good one: At 17, this mystery folker came second in a songwriting competition - and won a ghetto blaster. Listen closely to the voice in the reel. Recognise it? Put your guess in the comments before the answer is revealed tonight at 7pm. #WhosTheFolker #TwoAuldFolkers #IrishFolkMusic by @gerry_browne_ireland
GERRY’S BIG QUESTION 🎶 Which Irish folk artist has the greatest catalogue of songs? Think beyond the obvious classic. Who has the depth? The songs you know by heart, the lesser-known gems, the live favourites and the ones that still sound every bit as good years later. Who are you putting forward? And here’s the hard part… Name THREE songs that prove your case. 👇 #TwoAuldFolkers #GerrysBigQuestion #IrishFolkMusic #IrishMusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
FIELDSY HAS JOINED THE FOLKERS 🎶 A few songs. A good chat. And an episode Fieldsy says she’s very excited for you to see. That sounds about right to us. Singer-songwriter Fieldsy sits down with Gerry and Mick for this week’s Two Auld Folkers Podcast. Expect music, stories and plenty of conversation along the way. Have you watched it yet? Available now on all podcast platforms. Link In Bio. #TwoAuldFolkers #IrishFolkMusic #Fieldsy #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
WHO’S THE FOLKER? 🎙️ A voice to recognise… and a clue you probably weren’t expecting. This mystery Folker once recorded an AC/DC cover after getting so many requests for the band. Know the voice? Drop your guess below. Reveal tonight at 7pm in the next episode of Two Auld Folkers. #WhosTheFolker #TwoAuldFolkers #IrishFolkMusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
☘️ MICK'S TRIVIA One song. Three different recordings. All Irish chart hits. Within just 12 months, versions of Liam Reilly's "The Flight of Earls" by The Dublin City Ramblers, The Wolfe Tones and Paddy Reilly all made the Irish charts. That's some indication of just how much the song struck a chord. Which version is the one you hear in your head? #MicksTrivia #TwoAuldFolkers #IrishFolkMusic #GracoStudios by @gerry_browne_ireland
