My biggest order of Zip purses to date! 30 in total, all one of a kind, made from scraps and offcuts. Amazing how much joy a pile of “waste” can bring 🙌💚♻️😊. Heading to @inc.designstore next week.

Lovely online order heading out today 🩵🧡 Did you know that if you add one scrunchie to your order of 3 girlbands, shipping within nz is free. Yes, that’s right, you actually save money by adding a scrunchie. Girl math 💁‍♀️ #gertybrown #gertybrowngirlband #nzmade #shoplocal by @gertybrowntrading

Lots of new (and some old favourites) hot off the sewing machine. Do I have a floral addiction…? 100% yes! 🌸 🌺🌼

With my background in bed linen and homewares, I’m a total sucker for a new pair of pillowcases. Here’s a few new ones looking for a bed 🛏️ $69 a pair with free shipping. DM me if your a linen lover like me 😊

I was scrolling through my back catalog of social media posts today. My eyes couldn’t quite believe all the cushions, headbands, accessories, Xmas stockings etc etc etc that I have made (and you fab people have bought!). What an achievement for a small cottage industry/crafting passion to have made it this far! The question is what next? Love to hear any suggestions or feedback.
Oh, and I also came across this @yourhomeandgarden feature which was exactly 10 years ago!!! Lots has changed since then. My sewing no longer happens in the dining room (I have a dedicated studio under my house) and those white chairs are now green (part of my kitchen makeover a few years back). My hair isn’t that short, I have way more “smile lines” (but I do still own those shoes!) #memorylane #gertybrown #nzmade by @gertybrowntrading

A cute couple of girlbands heading off to their new home. Have you ever bought from my online store? Or are you an in person shopper? My background is in independent retail, which I love with a passion 💜 But am I a dinosaur for preferring real life shopping experiences? 🤔 🦕

Ok, now I’ve put myself out there in all my realness… we have a few beanies leftover from the market. These are handmade by mini me (ok, she’s 18 and taller than me now so I guess I need a new nickname for my daughter). 100% soft and squishy wool in delicious colours. DM me if you’d like a mustard, teal, olive or denim blue hat. These look great on dudes too. Father’s Day idea?

A candid snap of me, having the time of my life chatting to customers at @generalcollective 🤪 Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to look at my wares and engage in some banter. It’s joyful and I love it 🥰 See you all at the next one…

Mix don’t match is my motto, but also, I love how pattens and colours can compliment each other 🙌
Come say hi at @generalcollective market today. ASB Showgrounds until 3pm. 💜

How cold was it at your place this morning?! It’s definitely woolly hat and mitts weather. 🥶 These are online now and also available at your favourite Gerty Brown stockists 💛 And I’ll be bringing a selection to @generalcollective market on the 9th August. Keep warm out there! #pipandpop #crochet #handmade #nzmade #gertybrown by @gertybrowntrading
