4|17 - We had an amazing time at Coleman Place Elementary

We got from behind our nail stations and had a little fun with the kids! The children are the future (nail techs)!

We introduced the students K-5 to the world of nail technology as a fun and creative career path. We are on year 3 of volunteering at this event and watching the kids run to the table with excitement never gets old! It was fulfilling to show them that artistic expression goes beyond paper and paint—you can also use someone’s nails as a canvas, too!

The kids had a blast coloring, designing nail art, and even getting hands-on practice with polish. Their creativity and enthusiasm was truly inspiring! We just might borrow some of their designs as inspo! 😉

Thank you @nailedbyrachelw and @emskynailz for sacrificing your time to help with the event. So grateful! Thank you too @getnailedbyzynaya (not pictured) for holding down the salon with your booked and busy self!!! 🫶🏾😉

Thank you again Coleman Place Elementary for inviting us again! by @getnailedbychrisawn

Calling all Black & Brown nail artists—this is your sign.

Submit your art. Tell your story. Take up space.

@repyonailset is about pushing boundaries, and yes… there are no rules (well, kinda 😉). If you can dream it with nail supplies, you can create it. Sculpt it, paint it, build it—this is your lane to go all the way off.

Deadlines are coming up, so don’t sit on your brilliance. We want to see the bold, the unexpected, the pieces that speak before you even say a word.

Art Submission Forms are due by March 31, 2026 at 11:59pm. Please visit website for more details.

About my art piece:

I want to make sure I give every black and brown nail tech their flowers. Every petal in this piece was built from nail supplies—the same acrylic, gel, tips, brushes, and gems that shape a culture, not just a set. This is more than art for display… it’s a reflection of the hands, the hustle, and the innovation behind the industry.

Even though I am not done, just these two flowers have me even more excited about the event and the art that will fill the room!

What will you create?
